Our KTM 300 XCW project bike has been through hell and back. To help keep the bike in something like one piece, we religiously run Cycra wrap around hand guards. However, our recent upgrade to the Fasst Co. Flexx Handlebars left us with a bit of a conundrum - the regular cycra guards wouldn't fit and interfere with the flexx bar flex action.
To solve this, we try out the BRP adaptor kit that's in theory supposed to make it all work together. Unfortunately, reality wasn't as neat and tidy. What we found was that only some of the Cycra versions are compatible (like our old beat up pair) and even then, the system is janky as hell. There are too many points of failure, the bolts aren't right, the angles aren't great, and it's generally far harder than it has a right to be for the simple parts we're talking about.
Nonetheless, despite our great disappointment in the results, we do manage to get a semblance of "function" from our little hack and we show you how to do it and what kind of mediocre results you can expect if you try it for yourself.
Many thanks to our amazing video editor, who you should hire for your projects.

I wound up bending both bolts that attach BRP adapters to the bars. The adapters were fine. The adapters no longer move freely as they should to allow the flexing feature of the bars.
As you mentioned getting those bolts to snug up doesn't really work. Try getting them out after getting bent. Haha

I’m in that same boat. Just haven’t bothered to try and replace the bolts yet. The whole system is really an odd work around.

@@ExtremeSportsWannaBes For sure. I've considered sending them in for a refresh and let them do it. Not sure it's worth it in the end though.

No perfect solution. I switched from my enduro engineer wrap around guards to reflex racing guards. They are pricey but would likely work for your situation. Solid mount to bars. Has a cable that flexes to the other part of guard.

That's interesting. We'll have to give it a look. Thanks for the tip! It's been a bit of a frustration honestly.

Stu, which model of the Relex racing guards are you using? I have never heard of them, but am on their site and not sure which ones will be compatible with Flexx bars. Appreciate the help.

You ordered the wrong cycra hand guards
They make a different version. The aluminum hand guard mount is a total different bend. That allows them to mount directly to the Flexx bars.
Next time do your homework and stop crying about it. 😢

Thanks, we tried both versions. Neither fit well on our set up.
