I really love the fact that Chance’s on this season. He welcomed a new culture. Not all great artists nail it to auditions and he just proved that these individuals have great potentials inside. Look where they are today. They’re kicking the whole thing!!!!
We were friends since college at the University of Indianapolis and I said "you could always join the Voice because it's better than American Idol". 3 years later he reminded me not a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't believe that I influence him into joining. Thank you Chance the Rapper

His lower notes were very strong and his mid range reminds me of Bruno Mars’ sound. The higher notes weren’t as strong, but good coaching could make him a contender!

I AM SO HAPPY CHANCE IS ON THE SHOW !!! 👏👏 .. I think alot of the coaches like piggybacking so much... they wait until somebody else goes in to push.. and they let ALOT of amazing singers walk in the process... I'm so happy Chance came in this season!

He and Kelly seem to have a good rapport ( he’s also been on her talk show). Obviously they all do their little competitiveness when trying to convince a contestant to join their respective team, but nothing out of the ordinary and have not seen any meanness.

Definitely a great delivery and tone. Very deliberate and magical. I personally don't require every song to have big belt to find enjoyable, but I agree with Kelly that including one in THIS context would've made the audition more "complete". That said, I think Chance is the better coach for him so it worked out that she didn't turn.

Ray has a beautiful tone for sure but I wanted more from him. I wanted him to open up and do less falsettos. I think the falsettos was his weakness there as it didn't sound that great but he has a great voice. I'm not sure if he's ready yet but congrats on making it on the show and turning Chance's chair! I hope he improves in the battle rounds since he has tons of potential.
