    Hi Steve, thanks for your excellent videos of Samsung fan repair! There are several other videos posted by DIYers that haven't got a clue! Yours is professional and easy to follow.

    Thank you for posting. That stupid bolt that secures fan was off when I opened my oven. Tried putting bolt back on at no avail, because you have too tighten backwards. You mentioned to loosen clock wise.. Bingo my bolt went back on like a charm. I looked everywhere for someone to go through every step like you. Your the best !!!!

    My fan wasn't turning anymore so I ordered another one directly from samsung. Thanks to this video I was able to replace the fan. I also realised that the spacer between the fan and the rotor was completely jammed. Had to use force and degreaser to remove it. Probably didn't have to change the part at all. Look if it's your case too before replacing the whole thing.

    Excellent video! So simple really, but the local only-company-in-town folks would have made it very expensive and very inconvenient. A few steps (removing the fan propeller and removing the door) were esp instructive to someone who just flies by the seat of his pants. Thank you!

      Everyone should be aware that MY Samsung convection oven fan (on the top) does NOT have reverse threading!!! Perhaps the lower fan does, but DO NOT assume yours has reverse threading simply because the Samsung model in this video does. The truth is, I would have been better off following my own instincts, as it turns out!

    The video didn't mention the re-installation of the fan blades and cover on the inside of the oven but that's pretty obvious I suppose.

    I just did this but I’ve lost the screws that hold the cover over the fan. Does anyone know what size and type of screws I need to replace them?

    Any tips if the nut wont unscrew? As I turn counter clockwise and look at the motor in the back, it looks like the shaft is turning with it, regardless of if I hold the fan in place.

    • @eisenmantom
      @eisenmantom 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe the nut that holds the fan on has a reverse thread. This is sometimes done on shafts that spin and might cause the nut to loosen if the thread were normal.

    • @fordrac1ng81

      The fan nut is reverse thread. Lefty tighty, righty loosey
