Saw Peter Noone when he was touring with The Turtles on their Happy Together tour about 10 years ago, and got to meet him. No mention of Mike’s mom creating white out, or the millions she got when she sold it. or his music show which was an earlier version of MTV. Mike also produced Repo Man. Mike’s son, Jason, is also an accomplished musician.
Not to mention Nesmith's mid 80's tv show, "Michael Nesmith in Television Parts". Here is a clip if interested: th-cam.com/video/-26vQtQZvVk/w-d-xo.html
Mike was my favorite then and when he formed The First National Band, some really beautiful songs, especially Joanne. I have both The Monkees and the First National Band recordings. He was so very talented. It wasn't just an "earlier version of MTV", he is considered the father of MTV. Too bad that MTV was destroyed, just so people could make more money with garbage "reality shows". A true innovation! I'm 26 years older than my daughter and we were both fans. We were talking about it just yesterday.
Every Monday night way back then, I would have dinner at my friend's house, then we would watch their show on her big color console TV set (sadly, my parents could only afford a black and white set back then). We also used go to her house at lunchtime and after school to play all our albums on that same TV/stereo console set. We even formed our own little Monkees group back in 4th grade, where we would argue constantly over who would "be" Davy on any given day. Of course, my friend (with the TV/stereo) also owned mirachas, so, of course, she always won. LOL ...best of times to be a kid back in the 60's...irreplaceable memories...
I always loved Davy and Mike Nesmith. God bless them all. I met Micky dolnez many years ago. It was exciting to see him in person but unfortunately he was divorcing with his wife and Michael Landon was not well. I will miss the Monkees. They were my favorite while others loved the Beatles.

OOH YEAH MY PARENTS AND KANE KEKE OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS REMEMBER THEM ALL FUNNY TV SERIES
The Monkees TV series won 2 Emmy awards back in 1967 - not 1976
No mention of Mike’s mom creating white out, or the millions she got when she sold it. or his music show which was an earlier version of MTV. Mike also produced Repo Man. Mike’s son, Jason, is also an accomplished musician.
Not to mention Nesmith's mid 80's tv show, "Michael Nesmith in Television Parts". Here is a clip if interested: th-cam.com/video/-26vQtQZvVk/w-d-xo.html
I am kind of glad they didn’t mention it. I have heard it so many times. 😊
Was that Repo The Genetic Opera? Wow.
Nez also has a patent for software to imbed live performances into a blog or website. He was ahead of his time.
Davey Jones I believe was in a episode of the Brady Bunch and he was in one the Brady Bunch movies.
RIP Michael Nesmith (1942-2021)
He was born on 30-12-1942
D.W Washburn cracks me up!
The first band i ever liked, still have all 4 of their albums. I also never missed a television show. It was every Sunday night.
All 4? The Monkees released nine albums between 1966 and 1970
They were great. I am 67 and still enjoy them
My sister and I loved the Monkees Hey Hey !!! Davey was our Favorite who else right !!!
You Just May Be The One.
Sorry to hear that three (3) of them are now deceased-Davy, Peter and now Mike. Mickey is the only one left. But it’s good to know and remember what they accomplished-it will never be forgotten ❤🎼🎸🥁🎤🎧🌹!
The Monkees won two Emmys in 1967, not 1976.
I love them and I love their songs. Went to a concert in Tokyo looong time ago.
M&M--I'll be there in September! Thanks, gentlemen, for returning to the road....we love you....
Shades of Grey. It wasn’t a big hit but was on the other side of a 45. It should have been a hit.
so sad that only one left
I named my budgie after Mickey.
Be great to hear from someone who had Peter as their algebra teacher!
If you watch the 1979 Reasonably Spontaneous Conversation with him that I saved from oblivion and posted here on YT, there's a comment there from someone who worked with him at the singing waiter job.
Neil diamond songwriters I’m a believer 1966
My fav show when i was little .
Coronation Street is made by granada TV which is on lTV a commercial channel, not the BBC. Their soap is called East Enders. Both have been running 🏃♂️for years. I do enjoy watching your channel by the way. I was in total infatuation with Davy Jones. My favourite ❤song 🎵was cheer up sleepy Jean mostly because Davy was the lead on it . My goodness 😳those were the days. 🐒🐵😘🤩
I noticed that but most Americans have heard of the BBC and have not heard of ITV. I think that's why?
@@joolzg1936 yes I am sure that is why. It's kinda weird 😳when most of the world 🌎think of the UK ìn terms of the BBC and not factoring in the relevance of any other channels. The BBC seems to be losing a lot of its popularity just now though with a lot of English people not wanting to pay for the TV licence anymore. I don't watch it at all preferring the variety of you tube. Shame really 😕
I couldn't pick a favorite Monkee. There was something about each and everyone of them I admired greatly. I am 67 now and will remember setting in front of the TV on Saturday mornings with my model Monkee Mobile, my Monkee lunch box, my Monkee bubble gum card collection and my collection of magazines that had articles about the Monkees. Some sincerely fond memories of that time, but funny how I can't remember what I did yesterday or where I put the car keys last night. Love the Monkees always!!! RIP Davey and Peter!!!
I remember the mini-trail ride scene and ended up with a China clone of it. I was riding on the street one day and a guy pulled me over and told me it reminded him of Dumb and Dumber! We all evolve into Monkees I guess. 😐
