Looking forward to this expansion so much... This is one of my favourite games ever! Well done with the content very entertaining to watch. I love the camera work you guys do focusing in on different things. Must be so much editing involved. Masterclass! Much love from Newfoundland Canada!
Thanks for this playthrough, I love this game and it was great to see a bit of what the expansions can do. You Bing Bongs are so entertaining to watch! Keep flipping your luscious locks Nick, dont let anyone bully you into cutting those fabulous follicles!
Rules goofs aside, very entertaining playthrough. The back n forth makes it so much less dry to watch than other videos. A wetter video, well done sirs! First time seeing that one character played that favors the artifacts. Interesting character. And I think you actually can take the bonuses on the track with your research book too.
This is a game we love for date night @ home. Its competitive but relaxing too...I'm not sure how it achieves both...like you are exploring...but also having a really good time!!!
Yes on page 23 of the rule book under don't forget the last thing they mention is that items go on the bottom of your deck. Either way great play through you guys are awesome
Yeah I’ve have generally used the idols pretty liberally, especially those first two spots. It just makes it so fun to get to do more things! Love this game! Great play through guys!
Regarding your question about using the idols on your player board. I tend to use them for at least the first two spots, sometimes three spots. I think it's at least worth it for those first 2 or 3, the value you can get in future points over losing those points.
Your conversation about digging reminds me of the intro to Canticle for Leibowitz, wherein monks in the future were fascinated by an ancient writing (it's a grocery list).
Just in awe of how many resources you guys generate. I'm only 5 games in, just added this expansion. I feel like I'm always scraping by. Is the key discovering lots of sites for future resources? Anyhow fun playthrough, thanks!
On the finding of artifacts these days. Majority is broken common items from the time etc. So trash, but invaluable to help date bigger things from the area etc. As they can tell the broken piece was from a roman bowl in whatever time.
This game may be great to play and have fantastic art but from a visual stand point it seems cluttered. Of all the games you have played at the The Game Haus I think this one may be the most difficult one to decipher from just looking at it. Still, well worth a thumbs up just for the banter :)
Interesting, the clutter doesn't really bug us. But I think the fact that this is a vertical board, and the video is with it on it's side makes it much more difficult to decipher when watching it this way
Also not for nothing but telling someone to get a haircut is big “grumpy old man” energy. Might as well throw in a nice “get off my lawn” while you’re at it.

Lol they are a bear to edit but they're worth it! Thank you so much for the kind words!
Newfoundland! Fellow Canadian here, just love NFLD representation and boardgame love!

Thanks so much Monster Mash! And don't worry no one could bully me into cutting my hair
Rocking that skullet 😂
Great expansion! I love when a game gets even better with an expansion, and it was already fantastic!!!
“I could have got this somehow else…shoot, shoot, whiz.” 🤣
Always fun watching your playthroughs - Definitely looking forward to this expansion!
Thanks Rob!

Wettest videos in town! Wait…
Asymmetric player powers AND Lost Ruins of Arnak... in the same place and time? What is this madness??
It’s the best kind of madness that Arnak madness!

I totally agree!
At. 29:04 when you used the assistants don't your had to give up a boot card to gain the benefits?
The first assistant that got tapped gave me a boot, which was immediately used to pay for the second assistant
@@TheBrothersMurph oh I see
I could be wrong but I thought when you buy items they go to the bottom of your deck and not on top.
Yes on page 23 of the rule book under don't forget the last thing they mention is that items go on the bottom of your deck. Either way great play through you guys are awesome
Yeah we accidentally messed that up and didn't catch it until after the edit
We all miss things. Either way I'm a fan keep up the great work.
Yeah I’ve have generally used the idols pretty liberally, especially those first two spots. It just makes it so fun to get to do more things! Love this game! Great play through guys!
Exactly, I'm just trying to do as much as possible. So those idols get used

Nice Nice
Played this Wednesday. Beyond good.
Dope!
@@TheBrothersMurph Beyond Dope
If you combine the expansion, does playing the base players have a disadvantage if someone plays a new character?
Honestly not sure, we’ve never played a mix like that
Your conversation about digging reminds me of the intro to Canticle for Leibowitz, wherein monks in the future were fascinated by an ancient writing (it's a grocery list).
Lol!!! I am dead certain that exact thing has happened
Just in awe of how many resources you guys generate. I'm only 5 games in, just added this expansion. I feel like I'm always scraping by. Is the key discovering lots of sites for future resources? Anyhow fun playthrough, thanks!
Having sites can definitely help I think. That and any cards that can generate resources. Maybe we just got lucky in this one haha
@@TheBrothersMurph that's awesome thanks!
"I turn an arrowhead into coins [...]" (at 11:36) --> is that conversion legit?
Sorry that’s me mumbling as I say “an arrow AND two coins” but it did sound like I said “into” which would definitely not be a legit conversion

Absolutely. It’s so interesting to think of how much we treasure these finds because we can learn so much from “unimportant” items

@@TheBrothersMurph Good point.
CHEATER! who cheats.
Dude - get a haircut.
Which one should he cut? 😁
Naw

You expended energy to write a comment and this is what you come up with, wow just wow
