These old-school Automated Manual transmissions that used to be in a lot of EU cars, are kind of charming I find. Most people hate them but there is something nice about feeling the car working to change gears, instead of the linear acceleration you get from a DSG or CVT. I drove the ASG automated manual VW Up! a few years ago, and quite enjoyed it although sometimes the shift logic was a bit weird and you had to manually change the gear.
The diesel sounds quieter and seems to have so much more pep then the gasoline engines we were given here in the us. Waiting till 2028 to import one from Canada. The gas mileage is only DOUBLE that of the gasoline look a like. So many benefits. Looked up the emissions tests ratings. Half as much as gasoline. Don’t know why the us couldn’t get them other than they would have killed the small car competition in every way at the time they were available. Thanks for the video. Made me want to wait.
