  • In this video I have explained the Splicing procedure and Calculation of Splice length. How to calculate the Bias length when the joint angle is known. This type of questions generally asked in interviews. This video will be very helpful to the people who are presently working in an industry & also for whom ,who are trying to attend any job interview.
Hope you will find the video informative.
    Thanks for watching.

Two reasons I can think of:
It’s stronger. The longer the joint the lower the force per unit length across the joint.
It produces less vibration and noise. Instead of a single bump every time the joint runs over a roller, that transition is spread out over the whole length of the angled joint. This is like the difference between hitting a roadway speed bump square on or driving over it at an angle.

    Sir,
How can we findout the step length

    • @sebyamentor6883

Step length = Belt thickness x Step factor
Belt thickness can be measured using caliper or thickness gauge.
Step factor is provided by manufacturer.
      Let us assume
      Belt thickness - 10mm
      Step factor - 100
      So step length = 10 x 100 = 1000mm or 1 meter.
