It's actually great that we now have the actual researchers - names we previously only saw on research paper - to come on podcast and discuss science. Thanks Steve for hosting the podcasts and Dr. Jose Antonio for coming on!
The placebo effect from Turkesterone was pretty big. Got great long lasting pumps when I added it in. No clue what was actually in it? Was already taking pump type products.
No pascal i am not sick of writing my own programs! Give me a break man! Btw i would allways hear Joses name in other podcasts but had no idea he is such a hilarious person lol...he would be great for some videos commenting on fitness controversies or something
@@ReviveStronger i guess you have no choice...still props to you for wearing exact same outfit and using exact same voice every time, thats what you call dedication to a craft
This actually isn't a bad problem you can rehash the same content year-to-year and get new viewers just the same since new people are coming on to the fitness industry every year
I think the not drinking coffee first thing after you wake is to do with cortisol levels which is where the 90-120 minutes after waking comes from. However, the avoiding the afternoon crash is simply to do with the half life of caffeine so obviously the later you drink it in the morning the later it will clear your system, so you'll still crash, just later.
Possibly, the notion of delaying morning coffee is just an add-on to the notion of delaying brekkie for an hour or two. That would suggest a researcher like Dr Satchin Panda perhaps. Cheers.
It wasn't & the only evidence I am aware of for delaying breakfast is in relation to chrononutrition to provide an 8-12hr eating window for some benefits. However, I haven't see her work so might not be on that page. - Steve
Anyone who is remotely interested in any subject and does deep Dives will usually always take for granted what they know compared to the average person

50:50 I don't know about the UK, but there are Monster cans in the US that are like 900ml, not 500ml
We have some bigger ones too! - Steve

I like dextrose pills for long workouts. As someone who likes to workout in the evening it helps quite a bit but doesnt affect my sleep.
Yep I do an intra with dextrose :) - Steve
Great 👍 I think they use Taurine to lower the anxiety effects from caffeine in energy drinks
Does it have that effect? Isn't it typically L-Theanine doing that? - Steve

Great discussion. Looking forward to the next one in 2029!!😂
LOL! - Steve
Hey Steve, how much Theanine do you take? Considering taking some since I drink a lot of coffee lol
Typically you dose it 1:1, so if you're taking in 300mg caffeine, pair it with 300mg theanine.
@@SeuOu That is correct, 1:1 - Steve
