    Never tried the Distress Oxide inks. Was kind of afraid, but you make it easy. It's the perfect background for these stamps. Thanks.

    Love the bright colors and your combo colors. Distress Oxides are so much easier to blend.

    Hey Jess!! Love Love Love!!!! This is an awesome way to make birthday card!! It is so much fun using the oxide inks!! They blend so beautifully!! Embossing several panels is such an easy way to make the cards. I'm thinking of white embossing snowflakes then using the oxide inks and just blend away!! Thanks Jess for sharing you favorite blends!! 💖

    Hi Justine ~ I love the variety of color combinations you've shared (my daughters loved the Lisa Frank notebooks, folders & binders too!!). These Create a Smile images are amazing in that they just seem to jump off the page without benefit of mounting tape. Thanks so much for sharing and I'm thrilled to see Christine & Create a Smile back! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~HUGS~

    Fabulous cards! Thanks for sharing your favourite colour combinations Justine. I only have a couple of oxides (and only a couple of regular distress inks too, for that matter) but they are definitely something I want to get more of!

    How on earth do you stamp when you're out of town? There's so many supplies you need to bring with you. Also your camera and all those supplies? I just don't know how you do it. My luggage is already so full, I can't imagine bringing art supplies.

    Hi! Absolutely love the video thank you for sharing your technique. I have a question about the blending pads do you wash them after each use or is it okay to just store them and use them again. I have one for each color I'm just not sure if they should be washed every time i use them. Thanks in advance!

    • @justinehovey
      @justinehovey  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can wash them but if you have one for each colour, there is no need to wash!

    Hello I am from UK and just came across your video as I have just invested in a few distress oxides Great tutorial Quick question - why did you stamp and heat emboss the sentiment after the inking? Couldn't it have been done at same time as the flowers?

    • @justinehovey
      @justinehovey  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could have. I often create without a plan in mind so sometimes I add in things afterwards.

    I am not sure why everyone wants to put water spots on their backgrounds (I know oxide inks react to water) but I like the colors plain ... thanks for the video.

    • @justinehovey
      @justinehovey  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everyone has a preference on what they like. It adds interest and texture to the background. Keep in mind Tim Holtz is primarily for mixed media so it’s natural to play with the backgrounds. They also make beautiful cards without the water.

    Is the nennan 110lb good for blending too ?

    • @justinehovey
      @justinehovey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can use Neenah 110 for blending. There are better papers out there for it, but it will do the job
