This ball is insane. I got one a few weeks ago and it easily out hooks everything I have by 5+ boards. Not ideal on a house shot but could come in very handy on sport conditions with higher volume.
I love the way Curlie throws this ball. He just lobs it on the lane and it lopes down like it will never do anything, then all of a sudden it looks like he pushed the pedal to the metal and that ball spins up!
Can you guys release a video of Cody two handed bowling? I'm very interested in his full technique but I can only see the last 1-2 steps of his approach. I would like to see an instructional video or just shots of him bowling from further away. Thanks guys! I have faithfully watched your new release videos for several months, I love your content. Keep it up!
Bowler journal say cash is the strongest ball and you guys say sure lock is the strongest.I know you guys throwing both ball. What the difference from else ball. Keep up the good work and video. I love see cash vs sure lock video. .
Thanks! The Sure Lock has more length so it stores energy better. The Cash rolls very early. The Cash is best suited for extremely heavy oil where the Sure Lock is a bit more versatile. They are both very strong though and will handle the heaviest of oil.
this ball is strong. but it has recovery from deep angles for me. i dont have 500 plus revs, maybe 350 at most, and not a cranker. still have yet to find a goid condition to throw it on. at most i can use it for one game.
The Sure Lock will read just a bit earlier and be stronger overall. But both of them will have a continuous hook on the lanes (depending on how you have it drilled)
I'm looking for a 15lb ball like the haywire or kingpin. But the haywire is no longer available in any places and the kingpin is the newest release so I think it is so expensive. I'm an high ball speed, lower rev rate player. Any suggestions? Thanks!
How does this compare to a Roto Grip Critical Theory or the good ole Hammer Black Widow? I'm in need of a new ball and I want something a little stronger than what I'm used to. I've gained a lot of muscle this year from working out and my speed has gone up a good 1 mph and these pls balls just don't react like they used to. Are there any other bowling balls you would recommend instead? I typically release around the 1st arrow left of center and hook out to around the last arrow. I have a lot of wiggle room and I'm comfortable throwing most shots so I can adjust further left if need be, but I throw fast enough I probably won't need to.
The Sure Lock is certainly going to be stronger than the Critical Theory and Black Widow. The Sure Lock will have a strong midlane read and will just keep hooking! It sounds like this would be a great fit for you if you are looking to move up to something stronger :)
Overall, the Sure Lock will hook just a tiny, tiny bit more than the Gauntlet. As far as performance, they are both killer! It just depends on the reaction you are looking for.
The No Rules read the lane earlier for us and didn't hook quite as much. Actually, we see a lot of similarities with the VG. The VG was very angular for a sanded, solid ball. We see the same out of the Sure Lock. Both flip and have a very heavy roll. If you loved the VG, you'll love this ball too!
Would you guys recommend this ball or the no rules for a guy with an average Rev rate, an in between axis rotation, and a lower axis tilt. I'm looking for a good solid to be my strongest ball. Here are the balls I have from least hooking to strongest, Ebonite turbo urethane, Joy ride, Hywire, crux pearl, and the true nirvana. Thanks for any feedback.
Both are very strong balls. Sure lock by far the strongest! That being said, you are going to need quite a bit of oil for either to work well and not burn up. Especially you having a lower tilt.
Cody loves the Columbia Impulse Solid and Storm Pitch Black, Dustin loves the Pyramid Pathogen X and Brunswick Fanatic BTU, Curlie loves the Pyramid Force and Radical Ridiculous.
Both the Sure Lock and Gauntlet are hook monsters! The Sure Lock has the capability to hook just a bit more than the Gauntlet, but not enough to visually see a huge difference. The Gauntlet will go a longer down the lane before it hooks due to the hybrid cover. The Sure Lock will roll earlier. Both are excellent bowling balls!

He has a very unassuming game, but Curlie is a great bowler!
congratulations on 20k spreading your bowling knowledge to everyone
Thanks Duane!
How about showing a lefty bowling? It would be appreciated!
We're working on that!
This ball is so much fun to watch with high revs. Also, ball seemed very continuous for Curlie! I bet he really liked this ball.
Curlie struck more than anyone with this ball!
I throw exactly like Curlie. Been looking for a heavy oil ball for a while now. I think you just sold me. Thank you.

i always love to see your video, so thank you! surelock is most hook ball ever. i agree.
Thanks for watching!
ComedyBowler no surelock is
How would this compare to the Track Paradox Black in terms of overall motion and shape.
The Sure Lock will read just a bit earlier and be stronger overall. But both of them will have a continuous hook on the lanes (depending on how you have it drilled)

Grant Ho Show Off and drill it stronger

Uh..riiiiight
I am looking for a ball the will be the strongest in my bag, would the Sure lock be a good choice. I need a ball that hooks a lot.
Absolutely!
How does this compare to the Gauntlet & which ball hooks more? Overall, what is better? I already have the Gauntlet..
Overall, the Sure Lock will hook just a tiny, tiny bit more than the Gauntlet. As far as performance, they are both killer! It just depends on the reaction you are looking for.
bowlingballcom Say no more. I'm sold. Buying it this Saturday online.
how does this compare to the no rules solid? virtual gravity was one of my favorites any similarity?

Iak nailed it!
ok, thanks for the feedback!
What is each of your staff featured go to balls?
Cody loves the Columbia Impulse Solid and Storm Pitch Black, Dustin loves the Pyramid Pathogen X and Brunswick Fanatic BTU, Curlie loves the Pyramid Force and Radical Ridiculous.
How does Lock compare to this? They seem to react similar.
Sure Lock hooks a bit more, reads the lane a bit earlier and is smoother.
Did Dustin ever bowl 2 handed? Just wondering
Only for our videos, he's always been a 1 handed bowler. He's been bowling 1 handed in the videos for about 2 years now.
Can you compare this to the gauntlet
Both the Sure Lock and Gauntlet are hook monsters! The Sure Lock has the capability to hook just a bit more than the Gauntlet, but not enough to visually see a huge difference. The Gauntlet will go a longer down the lane before it hooks due to the hybrid cover. The Sure Lock will roll earlier. Both are excellent bowling balls!
what ball is the highest on the perfect scale
This one! Strongest ball we've ever tested.
bowlingballcom is the gauntlet close?
I would a like to seen Tony throw this ball... as we are closest to similarities lol
We'll make sure he never goes skiing again!
It's all good lol.
Does Cody not slide
he forgot his bowling shoes though. He does slide
In your opinion what is better, a 12 lb hyroad or a 12 lb sure lock?
Hi Tate! Those are two vastly different bowling balls. What kind of reaction are you looking for?
bowlingballcom I am looking for something for heavy lane conditions that has a lot of overall hook
I am kind of new to the terminology
The Sure Lock is the way to go then :) That thing is a hook monster!
bowlingballcom wow thanks for the help
but each players throw is too short....each 3 time?? too short for see the balls motion
Love the 2 hander falling over on 2 of his 3 shots being featured over a left handed bowler that has some idea what he's doing
salt
This is a nice ball but it looks unsteady and can change rolls easily
We found the opposite. Curlie threw like 20 in a row with this ball. Super easy to read.
Tell curlie to grow out that fro
Ju$t lyke 3very 0ther Ball!!
why is he wearing nike shoes while bowling?
Sam Gritzke because he "heel-toes"
Cuz he prolly didn’t care to change them for a quick TH-cam video
Please get someone who knows how to throw a bowling ball to be in your videos
I'm pretty sure he knows how to throw a bowling ball if he is on the videos
