The Velvet Voice of the Man in the Dark Glasses.... A True Classic. Great Choice
In reality he sang to the people who understood lonliness, sadness and emotion not to mention broken hearts Roy orbison was a champion of all these things and more RIP Roy kelton orbison you will never be forgotton i like the dj as well likable fella
Beautiful song, love Roy, great reaction 😊
Roy was Elvis Presley's favorite singer
The music from the 60’s is a good rabbit hole to go down. Love Roy Orbison.
Bruce Springsteen was a huge fan of Roy's as a youngster. He put together an all-star concert starring Roy which was featured on HBO called "Roy Orbison-Black and White Night" and it features about twenty big names in rock history paying tribute to Roy by singing and playing with him as he sings his hits. It's hosted by Springsteen and its available on TH-cam. Millions of views.
Great choice for a reaction! All of Roy's songs are worth listening to, including his work with The Travelling Wilburys. Thanks again JMBOY!
No verses, no chorus, just the purest voice imaginable in an edge-of-your-seat build up to a swooning conclusion - love it!
The Great Roy Orbison.
Wow, every time I hear his songs I miss him again. What a wonderful talent.
If your rock journey is just beginning you couldn't have picked a much better starting point. Enjoy the journey.
I'm in my early 60's. Wasn't ever much into Roy Orbison until I heard this song in David Linch's movie "Blue Velvet". I started to check out his music. I instantly recognized his greatness.
He was a contemporary and friend of Elvis who loved Roy's voice. Check out Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins paying tribute to Elvis by singing an energetic version of the gospel song "This Train". They performed this together on The Johnny Cash Christmas special in 1977 just months after their friend Elvis passed. It is absolutely awesome to see and hear all four legends singing together. th-cam.com/video/KKsDQaTkkxo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Q3RoTPW21JM2YS4K
My favorite Roy song. (Pretty Woman #2)...
Great song, and Great reaction to it! Thanks Friend!
I have recently come across a song by Roy called you’re The One with backing vocals by k.d. lang such a beautiful song ❤ k.d also duetted on Roy’s song Crying with him for the film Hiding Out & she sang Crying at his tribute concert blew everyone away got a 4 minute standing ovation ❤
My favorite Roy Orbison song. It was featured in the movie "Blue Velvet." The scene from the movie is available on TH-cam. Recommended!
In an interview, Roy laughed and said he couldn’t believe what they did to his sweet little song.
Roy Orbison and K.D. Lang duet on "Crying"...
Beautiful. In dreams I talk to you, G.T. and wish it was real. I can't help it.
"Pretty Woman" "Only the Lonely", "It's Over", "Blue Bayou", "Crying" and many more wonderful hits by Roy. One my favorite is "Mean Woman Blues" which Elvis covered, but not as well. If you're looking for live footage, I would recommend the "Monument Concert" from 1966 over the 1987 "Black and White Night" show, only because a young Roy had a voice which was more incredible than the much older version of Roy which was still great.
The Whispers - Lady
Should listen to his song.." Blue Angel"....one of his best...
The Four Tops - Just Ask The Lonely
This was sung in the movie Blue Velvet which was a dark cult film with great actors.
He would make a dog howl.
I grew up with these beautiful songs.
And I'm glad, that some younger people now continue the tradition.
Please, listen to Elliot James Reay and his version of Only The Lonely. 😊
Thanks for doing the studio version. First reactor i’ve seen , not react to concert version, which is so inferior. IMHO (and Elivis’s) the greatest male voice of all time. This is my favorite song by him, though Pretty Woman was certainly the most highly rated.
Santana - Let Me Love You Tonight
Hope you do “Runnin Scared” great build up.
That song could have been a couple of minutes longer, ended too soon..
