Fished the same spot yesterday bud. Had around 30 ornate wrasse. On prawn they are like piranhas ha. In the past I have managed too fish the bottom there. With an inline lead as opposed to the type you were using. And squid strip on a size 4 hook. The squid takes a lot more getting off. I have had a lizard fish a wide eyed flounder. Numerous greater weevers#very poisonous. A top knot. And damsel fish. Tight lines
Just to let you know I fished that Mark a couple of times this week. Your video and advice was invaluable. Float fished with size 8 hooks and prawn. Made my holiday getting an ornamental wrasse and a black scorpionfish in just a quick hour on 2 mornings. Cheers
There's a tackle shop in cristianos. Just by subways. It's in a lane adjacent too the fishing booths on sea front. But if your in Las americas try the Chinese bazaar it's by the columbus #underneath el dorado apartments they sell everything its cheap n cheerful Chinese stuff but I have used it too good effect tight lines lads

Thanks for the vid and info. Did you do much with drop shot or small jig heads? Are there any marks closer to las americas? Staying there at Easter.
No, didn't use any drop shot/jig heads. Not sure of any other marks, as the one I fished was less than 5 mins from where I was staying.

What size hook did you use mate ?
I took size 6 circles, but ended up buying size 8 & 10 j hooks in the tackle shop for float fishing. Size 1/0 & 1 when I used my heavier rod
