  • Meet Peter Greenhalgh, a STEM Ambassador and explore the extraordinary effects of space weather and what it means for our planet. Space weather is the changing environmental conditions in near-Earth space. Magnetic fields, radiation, particles and matter, which have been ejected from the Sun, can interact with the Earth’s upper atmosphere and surrounding magnetic field to produce a variety of effects. Peter will take you on a journey that starts deep in space and ends here on Earth.
Catalyst Magazine Live! is part of Catalyst Magazine @t a suite of UK curricular linked resources for young people (aged 14-19) and their educators to explore scientific research and associated careers.
