Who wouldn't be happy with a zr1? The c6 in my opinion is one of GM's best chassis. People try to talk their shit but you can't argue with performance.

So what if the ZR1 has a better laptime at the nurburgring, Thats means nothing, We all no the ZR1 is faster, But judging from one lap is retarded and proves nothing.
Which car I would take? Obviously the Lambo. Then I would sell it and buy two corvette ZR1 one red and one black, 5 sport bikes, a $500k house with a huge ass garage, a snowmobile, a four wheeler, a side by side, a $5000 barbecue, a 2000hp diesel tractor and a 500hp v8 lawnmower. I would probably still have lots of money left after all this. Chevy did an awesome job with the corvette. A fraction of the price but yet its still faster than the Lambo. Of course the lambo is more composed, its built better and a lot more fancy, but its also got 15x the price tag. But both awesome cars! Fan of both!

Ha...that Lamborghini isn't all that much...several times it looks like the Vette is about to run over it.....big deal...give me the Vette every time. PLUS you can drive into about a million chevy dealerships when it needs service.....try to find one for a Lamborghini.....remember the huge difference in price too. No comparison. +Bruno Miguel Why would that matter? Just means it's not as expensive to fix and you get lightness for a lot less price. Plus the stiffness of the body panels wouldn't do anything as the chassis is what deals with the twisting forces.

I honestly think corvettes in general look way better than any European supercars... they put too many areo dynamics in them witch make them look like air planes too only look cool.. in my opinion the corvette looks 100% better

for this video let me sum it up for the ones that cant handle to see a $500.000 losing to a $80.000 car
lamo $350.0000 ZR1 $110.000
lambo V12 670HP ZR1 V8 6 speed SC 640HP
lambo 4x4 ZR1 2 rear wheel drive
so the lambo was in front with only 30 more hp and costed 4 times as much and still couldnt get away
so the ZR1 would of been up front it would of gotten away like that
the lambo with the cost and only 30hp more and 4x4 should way out running the ZR1but it can only take off in a stright line then the ZR1 is right behind it
so this all it means is you can spend the 350000 on the lambo and go so fast and get looks on the parkways
but the ZR1 will come by you can people will say... WTF was that.. because the ZR1 would be gone hahaha
no time to stair at the ZR1 or see what it was only the chevy and circle lights hahaha

IAMDAVEAMI Hey Leonhard Euler. i am curious to find out what those numbers mean because i got confused when you said 500k car losing to a 80k car and on your very next line you state that the lambo is a 350k car and the zr1 is now a 110k car. Can you see why i would want you to clarify this claim? Let's move on to something else because i want to tell you something and i want you to think about it with that point of view. You mention the cost difference and how the lambo has only 30hp more and a price tag that's 4x more than the zr1 and how the zr1 is gonna pass the lambo and get away as people say hahaha, Well in all honesty i think your still young and you just don't get it yet but maybe when you get much older then you will understand it, For example there are 2 different watches and they both tell time, how come 2 similar items that accomplish the same goal at the end of the day and both look nice then why does one of the watches cost $20 and the other one $200.000.1 watch is the same price as a shirt and the other watch cost the same as a house, they are not the same after all, yes they both do the same thing, the watch tells time and the car is your transportation, so when 1 watch starts falling apart after a little while or doesn't always work and you have to change battery or whatever the other watch will tell stories about it's time on earth and the things it has seen and the places it has been and you would never have to do anything to it because there is no way no how that 200k watch will ever have a problem, 20 bucks u throw away after a while but the 200k watch will increase in value the more time passes, it's the artistry of the lambo, the way it was put together the passion behind the car the idea that every kid from childhood on till forever is always gonna have this dream of one day owning or just driving a Ferrari or a Lamborghini for one day. Highly agree and especially when it comes to the ZR1! The C7 ZR1 is a garish mess, looking like some kind of fast and furious nightmare. I run a shop that specializes in Vettes and after 20yrs of working on and driving dang near every version ever made, I would still pick the C6 ZR1 over all the rest.

Wow, cool comparison! Both drivers seem to be able to wheel a car respectively too. I am partial to the Corvette myself, but that Lambo sounds amazing as well.
For what it's worth, on a track of course the lambo will handle better, it's AWD but it has that advantage and it has automatic transmission, even with those two huge advantages the vette still kept up, I think the vette is a better car with that being said.

This is so biased, of course the vette could keep up with the lambo because the lambo was in front. The lambo driver had to judge turns and corners and he really couldnt push it to the limit. All the vette driver had to do was follow the lambo and keep similar speed. If the tables were turned im sure the lambo would keep up with the vette. Also the vette has horrible traction so im pretty sure with the lambos 4wd it would be able to puul turns faster.
this is why I love american cars they are bang for the buck.mind u this is old zr1 the new 2016 zo6 will kick lambo's ass all day.

"The ZR1 is better behaved and handling is miles better than the Z06." Uhhhh... not according to every other automotive journalist I've ever seen, read or heard of. My cousin became QC Director at the Corvette plant in 2004 and we've been a "Corvette family" for many years before and since. I've owned both the C6 Z06 and ZR1 platforms (2007 Z06, 2013 ZR1 and recently bought a low-mileage 2010 Z06) and the Z06 is lighter and much more forgiving. Having substantially less power, it's also easier to put that power down. That's why both cars have very similar times on strips and tracks. The braking definitely goes to the ZR1 unless you have the Z07 package on your Z06. The ZR1 is a great car but the Z06 is a far superior platform to work with. There's a reason it's the preferred model for race teams (including the factory Corvette Racing team). Just my opinion. Cheers.

Both cars are beautiful. The Vette could keep up with the Super Veloce.The problem with the vette is the body just isn't that great for the price. Over 100k and it still looks too close to a stock one.

Apples to Oranges, Lambo all wheel drive, ZR1 RWD, $450,000 for Lambo, $112,000 for ZR1 and the car still staying up with this beast of SV. Not a fair race but I am impressed with ZR1.

There is a few ZR1 guys in Florida that got a new ZR1 recently for a mere 99K dollars for ZR1's that were left over after the arrival of the new 2014 Vettes and some of this guys challenge (bet) Lambo owners for a race and some of this Lambo owners were actually very scare and don't want to bet nothing. HA. Seen this scenario in south Florida recently several times. HA.
It is my next car, I've had Porsches, and 2 Z06s but man looking forward to a nice low mile 2010 or 2011. Should be in the $80's or $70K by then, SWEET car.
Great demo of how competent the C6 (possibly C5) and beyond corvettes are . Growing up I didn't care for Vettes as I found them too brutal in their power delivery, with little regard for suspension and driveability. But they've gotten to be extremely good cars. Keep in mind in this video, the Vette is still at a disadvantage being front engine. You can tell in the video a few times the Vette gets a little loose in the back and can't take corners with quite the finesse as the Lamb. That said, the new mid-engine C8 ZR1 is a supercar that can easily run up with the best of Europeans.
not only does the zr1 keep up with the lambo, but i'm sure it would be proven that it surpasses the lambo if the test was done with the zr1 in front.

The Vette actually comported itself really well. I kept seeing opportunities for the Vette to just go right on by the Lambo.... too hilly, and too many curves though...

I'd have to say, I'd take the vette in this pairing, when it breaks as all cars do, I could actually afford to fix it, I was watching a deal in which they replaced a clutch in a lambo, the part itself was 2k, had to gut the thing to get the engine out, looked like they had to disassemble half the car.... so a clutch would run you around 5k in parts and labor, the vette, you could change in your driveway... in an afternoon and get one at the local auto parts place... actually if I truly had my choice.. I'd have a 69 charger black and chrome tinted.... done the way I like... hotchkins suspension, modern hemi from the hellcat and matching transmission.. then that'd be a car... not saying it would outrun anything, just be a joy to have and to drive...
Tim Vincent just throwing this out there but changing the clutch in a C5-C7 is not an afternoon job at all, nor would I want to do it in my driveway. Entire differential and trans at the rear have to come down along with the torque tube that runs to the front. At a shop it's at least a 2k job altogether.

To pick up someone to go get a coffee in the city on a warm summer day, I'd probably take the Lambo. On any other day and for any other occasion I could think of in 5 minutes, I'd take the ZR-1.
Getting bread rolls on a sunday morning: ZR-1.
Driving grandma to her dentist appointment: ZR-1.
Driving to grandma's funeral, after she died from a heart attack caused by a full throttle 2nd and 2rd gear pull: ZR-1.

Why so much vette haters? I was once blind to until my father bought him self a 2015 Corvette Stingray, just the stingray not the Z06(clear that up). Let me say this, I am still not a hugr vette fan but for a 90 000$ dollar jusr above base model Corvette it is a beautiful piece of engineering to drive, even if its not the 650 hp beast. The Lamborghini is definitely nice, but there is this thing called value. We kind of pride ourselves on it here when not living the conspicuous consumption lifestyle... The Boss 302 has no European or Japanese equivalent for the same money. Same with the ZR1. Something will suffer at that price, and it won't be the performance in our sports/performance cars!!! Funny how he states that Lambo at 1,500kg. I looked everywhere online (including a lambo forum) and the weight on a 2009 LP670-4 SV is between 1,840 and 1,860kg. That's a huge difference. So many of these online reviews are FULL of incorrect information. I watched one a few weeks back from a very reputable Japanese car magazine. They reviewed the 2018 Corvette Z06 and claimed (among other things) that it was all-wheel drive, a supercharged V6, made in Detroit and cost over $150K in America! This was a well-respected car reviewer that's been in the business since the '70s. Time to let real fans review these things and fire the wannabe weekend warriors!
Besides, for the price difference here, you could gut the Corvette , send it to a custom shop, and redo the entire interior, and exterior refinished, and still be cheaper than the lambo!! Oh and faster lololololol 😁😝😏❕now if you have more money than driving skill, or desire to learn, get the lambo. The all wheel drive and gear box make it ALMOST idiot proof 😄👍❕
I have a 65 chevy with a 350 and a trillion miles of abuse, handed down from my father that had no major issues in it's life, sitting behind the house.
Point is, I can still go out and, start it up in one shot in the dead of winter. I would love to see one of the Italian "super cars" power train go that distance.
@fueledpassion Absolutely,If general Motors ever re-designed the Vette with a mid-ship engine placement,and made such a 5.0L 10 cylinder mutli radiator cooled engine,and say a few body modifications to carbon fiber.It would be a thing of beauty to say the least.And if it could be done for under 100K,then Lamborghini wouldnt really have a shot in hell.
Corvette has a MANUAL TRANSMISSION, while the Lamborghini has an automatic. Automatics are for wimps, and everyone knows it.

Bummer. Really liked the SV as far as Lambo's go. ZR1 is not impressed. And an exquisite 300-400k for the Lambo. USED.
Just that little bit of extra traction in the corners isnt worth the difference in price tag. I'll take a zr1 and save the extra thousands and thousands of dollars. Tha Lamborghini isn't any faster really.
Of course Id rather have a lamborghini and if any this 670-4 SV just to have the sound and joy of driving it but for the money you really have a heck of a time beating any corvette blah blah blah GT-R the GT-R is a amazing car as well just to many computer aids for my liking

I still haven't seen a ZR1 beat a Lambo sv670 in a quarter mile, or any other race stock vs stock, the honest truth is it can't, the Corvette just does good keeping up for it's price, but Lambo is in a far superior class it's really no comparison. ....realtalk

Lambos are actually quite expensive to keep up. Constant maintence and tune ups. They are still great cars though. I really doubt your story. A new car is under factory warranty so it wouldn't have cost him anything. Also if it really was 50,000 in repairs is would qualify as a lemon and GM would have bought it back. Also I can't think of anything that would come to 50,000 worth of repairs in under 2 years. I say you are lair liar, or at least bending the truth.
If the GM produced only super cars they would have to triple the price and still would perished, super cars do not make money they are just expensive advertising. If you did not know Ferrari and Masserati are FIAT, Lambo, Porsche, Bentley, Bugatti, Seat, Skoda, Audi,MAN Diesel & turbines etc.. are VW group,Mercedes makes tractors and so on.GM could make it years ago but they are cheap and they consider their customers for idiots

You are right.The Corvette is a wonderful car, and practically almost anybody in the UNITED STATES can afford one...even a used one...I have two myself and I don't even bought them new. Both of them I bought them used and is not a big deal...IN THE UNITED STATES AT $3.75 A GALLON FOR SUPER UNLEADED...now in Europe that is a different situation,they can NOT afford that, and given that situation, Europeans are FUMING with us because we are lucky to have gas at $3.75 super unleaded...envy,envy.
The ZR1 at 100K dollars is a bargain.We tested a ZR1 back in July with a 0-60 in 3.772 and a Lamborghini Murcielago at 3.889 and the quarter of a mile at 11.449 for the ZR1 and 11.553 for the Murcielago, both test by a professional race driver from the state of Georgia , here in Florida in Miami. However,what I see with the Lambo is a "scandal" when you go out with that machine.Even with the super looks of the ZR1,most people associates the ZR1 as simply a Corvette.You never see a Lambo.
I've got a 30 year old Chevy MC 100% stock that I've driven across the country without 1 cosmetic or mechanical issue in the middle of winter comfortable the whole way. On the other hand, I drove a brand new Honda 6 hours and felt like I was riding a fucking hardtail chopper with a concrete seat across a damn rock bed. Fuck an import. Vette is the best performance for your money that you could ever hope to buy.

In the rest of the developed world gas prices are often twice, sometimes three times as high as they are in the States. That means nobody in their right mind would consider an American car "affordable". As for reliable. They don't top any customer satisfaction surveys. Without their huge domestic market they'd go out of business long ago. As it is GM and Chrysler were still bailed out or they'd be bankrupt.
On the world market things look different. Learn that.
That's fine, but than you limit your customer base severely. Most people that want a crude fast car don't spend 50-100 grand on it but put in a turbo and better wheels for 5 grand. But customers that spend serious money don't care in the first place if it goes so and so fast 0-60 miles, but how refined the car is, both inside and outside. That is why they rather buy for example a base Porsche for twice the price but half the performance, hence Porsche popularity all around the world.
