    My lord, the fashion was so fabulous! And the dancing just makes you happy to watch...love dancing and trying to replicate these moves! (Most of them were pros)

      I disagree. I watched from early 70s until 90s. The beginning it was high school and college kids. Maybe later you had a some pro dancers. But majority weren't professional especially in the 70s.

    I love the whistle in the backround. It just screams 70's. "You Should Be Dancin" was a perfect Soul Train line song. Just the right tempo for those who know how to move & groove to the beat.

    So proud of Soul Train it gave us brotha's and sista's growing up in the hood a show to be inspired by back the day. Every Saturday was clean the house and watch Soul Train before you did anything, big ups to Don Cornelius and all dancers

    I learned a lot of dance moves by watching this show. Love the line up part. This was a great disco song back then. I am glad I lived then and got to have a good time in life. Everything seemed so much more free then, unlike today.

    RIP Don Cornelius. Thank you for creating something for 'us' that ended up crossing boundaries and barriers. Thank you for creating Shalamar giving Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniels to, reminding us and teaching us with the scramble board, black pride with the afro sheen commercials and all that. Thank you and all of the dancers that made us want to get our funky boogie. We watched to see what to wear and how to dance. Love, Peace and Soul

    Saturday Night Fever should have been made with black people !!! We wouldn't be able to dance without you !!! Most white people still can't even clap on beat !!! And I'm white ! But I do have rhythm!! Thanks to my parents who were Arthur Murray dance teachers back in the day !! Thank You Soul Train, for giving me all my greatest dance moves !!! 👍💃❤

    Can't say I agree ... they were one of my dad's favorite groups ever. And if you look at their chart history, several of their singles - including this one - were huge R&B chart hits. Plenty of black folks loved the Bee Gees.

      That's Jeff Daniel and Jody Watley before they were in the group Shalamar. Jeff Daniel is notable for having influenced the popularity of the moonwalk during the 80's, and for his dancing/choreography work with Michael Jackson

    My mom was a part of the disco era. Those whistles were handed out at certain discotheques. Seems to me some of these soul train dancers or crowd had a few and used them to go with the Bee Gees. If you're not used to it, I guess it can be annoying.
