      Absolutely true.Simplifying things for the uninitiated. Than you so much-not one person I know of or teacher I have come across has explained this in such a simple way. It wasn't complicated at all!! Scales no problem but how you link the triads, 3rds & 5ths it was sitting right in front of me all this time!

    I've been practicing to your videos all day. I'm really happy I found a bass instructor who take the time to explain the definition of chords, scales, intervals, 3rd's and 5th's, and, to also explain how we use them and the reason we need to get familiar with notes.The best technique you have used to help me grasp the lessons is when you indicate what fret to press with those red dots, super helpful. I feel like I've already improved weeks ahead of the point I was at. Thank you so much. - Maddie, The amateur bass player.

    I have paid for lessons in person and online. Your teaching style by far make is possible to actually learn to play. The simplicity and usage of the red dots on the corresponding finger is visually helpful.

    Yes you are a very good teacher! Especially for foreigners too who don’t speak a fast and slang English.
    You speak and teach very clear, talk not so fast, exactly right to understand for folks which haven’t English as Mother Language. That’s good and is really helpful!! Thank you Richie!

    On bass, are chords played on the individual notes like the C Major example, but strummed together on guitar? Thank you very much for the clear and understandable instruction. I enjoy your teaching, being new to the bass, it helps me a lot.

  • @peterdavies7987
    @peterdavies7987 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    A question please from your previous video; I get that if the scale starts say at Ab, call all the accidentals b, BUT couldn't you just as easily call that Ab root note a G# ??

  • @victorhn3074

    A question about the 7th being part of the major chord. Well in C this would be Cb or, no thats B isn't it. But my question is that surely this makes a dis-chord ??
