  • This was a fun practice piece! Big meander then fill in with flowers, leaves and curls. I'm still a bit of a newbie on the sitdown Q16 but loving it! I hope to teach classes soon!

Thanks for a great video. I am a new Q20 owner and a bit intimidated by the creative process. You made it look doable, with some practice. Loved it all, thanks.

I love all your quilting. I purchased a Q16 sit down. I would greatly appreciate videos for quilting pieced quilt tops. Thanks. Have a fabulous weekend quilting world ❣️

You have been so helpful to me as I watch you through the years. I use a Q20 and have been able to adapt your designs on a frame to sit down. I love watching you just switch from one to the other with ease. Thanks so much for your lovely videos.

Hi Adria, watching you stitch the flowers on your Q16 looks so easy! I have a Q16 as well for about 10 months now. I feel more comfortable with ruler work. I can’t seem to do curves and leaves well with free motion. Love to see more sit-down classes in the coming year. Happy Holidays!

I do love it! It’s a great idea for a filler, especially around a floral design, such as on a panel or something! It seems like not only is it fun, but would be not very stressful because you’re just basically doodling; but it ends up looking really good. Thanks for sharing!🌷 💫

I love my gardening gloves! ;) I have small hands and I have found 2 brands that fit, grip well, and don't show the grime of the expensive white gloves. Yay! I must try a meandering vine and see if I can fill a space like that. I love just sitting down and quilting whatever comes to mind. It's relaxing and meditative. The rhythm of stitching and the sound of the machine is peaceful and soothing.

I just got my Bernina Q 16 and it is very intimidating. You make it look so easy. Every time I watch your videos it just calms my nerves. Also liking the soothing music background.

I love to watch you quilt. You are so smooth and your designs come out so perfect. I have just retired, and am trying to get back to my longarm and do quilting. And
watching your videos make me so ready to get on my longarm and quilt away. Going to watch all your older videos and just hope I can get to practice more on my
longarm. So please don't stop making these videos they are so inspiring.

Adria, your teaching is FANTASTIC and truly appreciated. I’m self-taught using my Q20. I often use pre-wound bobbins and experiment with various threads and love couching. In the past I even reached out to a well-known Bernina Ambassador who responded that she really didn’t have time to teach from the basics up. I’d definitely love to learn more from you, including quilt pattern choice, using different threads, maintenance, etc… THANKS SO MUCH for sharing your talent through teaching!❤🧵🌻

This is so pretty!! I really want to try this now. I think I can do it. I think you’re doing great on the sit down. I went the opposite way from a sit down to long arm. Quite a difference. Tough retraining the way you think!! Thanks Adria!

Very pretty! I am doing an abstract wall hanging of a cat and this would be perfect to represent his tail; I might try it. I loved your husband's incredulous comment: "Your gardening gloves??" Hahaha. Very cute.

I ran across this video, and decided to use the meandering vine technique on a twin size quilt. I have struggled with keeping my free motion quilting even throughout the space of a large quilt. This technique really helped me. Following the meandering lines, I was able to fill spaces and look ahead to where the next “vine” was. Overall, this helped my FMQ and I am so grateful. I use a HQ Capri 18

I just came across your video and want to say thank you for expiring me to finally sit down at my Q16. I’ve had it for several month and just couldn’t get started. But because of your channel, I promise myself this is the day. Thank you again and I look forward to your lessons.

I used to watch your videos when I had a stand up longarm. Now that I've moved and have less space I got a sit-down model. What I miss most is being able to do your large circle/swirl allover patterns on lap or twin size quilts. Practice pieces are fine, but it takes a lot more effort to use an allover design on a big heavy quilt. Glad to see you using "my" machine but would love some larger designs for it. 😊

Lovely design you make it look so easy! I have gone from a stand up long arm to the Bernina Q16 so am re-learning quilting with a sit down. I have always wanted the Bernina and am so happy to finally have one. What thread and weight to you use? I am going to attempt this design and will take a look at the classes you offer! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for all your videos. I have a Q20 on the table. I'm glad you use your Q16 on table, it helps a lot. We see a lot more videos on loom and I love watching you. I would like if possible to have a similar quilt on the other side but something much airier. I need ideas for quilting this row of flowers. It's not a mural, it's a Queen size bedspread. Thanks again. I speak French and use a translator. Impossible to hand a picture.
