    Adam Dunn was a hell of a guy, my cousin went to a reds game shortly before he passed with cancer and adam dunn after the game took some pictures with him and signed a autograph. Him and Ken Griffey jr were a blast to watch. 2 legends.

    I have always been amazed with his sheer strength. He never swung hard and would hit the ball 10 miles. An added bonus was he was not a showboat. Just a strong man that did it right.

    A great player. Over his career, you can expect 3 things from him in every at-bat; a strikeout, a walk or a homer.

      You don't get an at-bat if you walk.

      I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. In kid leagues, we think of RF as the stash position for bad defenders. First basemen have to be able to catch a ball, at that kid level. Then, it becomes 1B and DH that bad defenders get stashed at, in the pros. Someone told me that in the MLB, LF is another stash position for good hitters, but bad defenders, because the CENTER Fielder is usually a good defender, and can cover for the LF. Is that true? I began to realize that some defensive donkeys (no pun intended) like Adam Dunn, Adam Lind, Lance Berkman, Ben Broussard and Mark Trumbo have played.

    Adam Dunn would be considered a great player in this era with teams in baseball now accepting strikeouts more than they did back in the roid era.

    • @DavidLee-tz1sc
      @DavidLee-tz1sc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      51% of his career at bats were HBP, K, or BB which is just insane! No other player in MLB history put up a ratio like that where they simply did not make contact with the ball every other at bat. Consider that he then hit so many home runs but almost exclusively against right handed pitchers with one exception in Kershaw who simply owned left handed batters Dunn had that guys number. He is quite the anomaly and a one of a kind player.

      He wouldnt make the hall because of his average he could have had 600 homeruns but with a .237 career average will keep you out regardless. im a huge adam dunn fan and would love to see him get to the hall but its just plain facts but who else can bat .204 in a season and Still hit 41 home runs ? Nobody ever... litterally 45% of his career hits were homers tho who else can do these things? None other then the big donkey adam dunn himself
