the next best deal is the £1800 m4pro laptop with 24gb ram and 512gb ssd. why this . well if you upgrade any of the base version mac minis they all end up at £1399 m4pro mac minis price bracket. and the problem with this price bracket is that then the £1800 m4pro laptop is only £250 more for a lot more then a desktop style mac mini
then obviously my experience has told me that at least 36GB ram is required in any mac.
RAM is the bottle neck in all macs. anyone who says 16gb is more then enough for normal browsing is plain lying . trust me the bare minimum ram is 24gb to work comfortably. and if you want to work with ease then 36gb is minimum required.
the second bottle neck is the onboard ssd and go with it any way. you will end up with the m4pro macbook pro laptop with 24gb ram and 512gb ssd .
the processor on all mac's are never the bottle neck . even the base version mac processor is good for professionals. yes it will take time to complete some tasks , however its not as bad as having low ram or running out of ssd and ram memory.
the last i recommend is the m4max macbook pro which is a xxxx £2800 ish. well if you want performance without cutting corners or having to hack external ssd and transferring your mac operating system to external drive then this is your only sensible remaining choice remaining .
