I'm 20 now and thought it was too late to start, but you guys have inspired me to keep going. But I can't even do an ollie cause I'm scared. I'm working on getting rid of the fear but it's so hard. My body just rejects the idea of falling, anyway, keep doing what you do so great. Peace! (:

I think there should be more girl skaters, every time I go to the skatepark there are only guys there, sure I might see 1 or 2 girls every once in a while but they never come back and most of them don't come back because of there friends who think it something that only guys can do or they don't like skating so they discourage there friend and it makes me kinda sad.
I know Vanessa Torres wears the Nike Janoski's with the straps. A lot of other girls wear those too( without the straps), such as myself, or vans. I wear also Emericas because they are so comfortable. It sucks, they need girls skate clothing and shoe brands too!
