@kitty 💜 It's lore from a previous smp Grian ran, called Evolution. the premise was that the players would move through the minecraft updates in the same world, starting from like. Early Beta? I forget which release they began with. As the series went on, they discovered that omniscient beings called Watchers were kind of. controlling their world, punishing and rewarding players for their behaviour and sending them on quests to reach new updates and so on. Out of character, the Watchers were a kind of stand in for the audience, but in the lore they're more like... insidiously "benevolent" gods. When the Evolutionists got far enough into the updates that they decided to take on the Ender Dragon, the Watchers interfered and had all of them fight the dragon separately. Grian, after defeating his dragon, was taken by the Watchers to become one of them. Out of character, it's just that he decided to leave the series and become a part of the audience, but in character... well. That's what the fantheorists like to play with. Notably, a few of the 3rd Life and Last Life players were also Evolutionists. Grian, of course, but also Martyn (InTheLittleWood), Jimmy (SolidarityGaming), BigBst4tz2, and PearlescentMoon. Martyn pulled on that old Evo lore with his Last Life series, referencing that Grian is a Watcher, which has prompted a whole lot of renewed interest in Watcher!Grian lore, suggesting that he's been a Watcher all through Hermitcraft and 3rd Life and honestly I adore it.

I love their duo during 3rd life. In normal media the "villain" would be upset that their help was trying to warn off people but Scar is just: "Yeah, your right, I do want to murder them all!" It is just perfect and you illustrated it wonderfully, Melloz Heist! And also the Grian watcher flash back... I wasn't expecting it but it's just the kind of dramatic flare that we get from grain boy and the rest of them! A great execution if I were to put it in better words. I wasn't expecting it but it was a great and amazing edition! The expressions are absolutely amazing too and I don't think I can emphasize enough how I love this animatic!
I absolutely love how you portrayed it to appear that despite Scar owning Grian’s first life, it is like Grian is the mastermind, using Scar’s red life to do his killing. Also your animation and character designs for them is great! Edit: I slowed it down so I could see the shots that flashes to quickly and I love the reference to the Evo series as well!

It’s so weird thinking about it now, I know at 0:34 he says he’ll murder them all. We take that as a joke, like how is Scar going to kill people he kill himself more then others. Then it ends with that he wasn’t joking he did kill them all. It just takes time, charisma, distractions, and him keeping his cloths on to almost win.
