I bought all parts ( with very cheap cost) and built a Brompton-like bike. This video helps me a lot. I found not many people are keen on DIY of bike. They buy Brompton just for vanity and they don't know too much to the mechanics. Anyway, thank you.

I can't downshift. The top row is fine but the bottom row is not working well, where am I doing wrong? only when I push the segment near the wheel with my hand, the transmission ends up on the smaller wheels. I don't know why the cable won't do it?

Missing information on setting up the cable tension, you mentioned it happened to be right without adjustment but how to judge it's right ?

Thanks. The tension of cable is determined by the ability of the pusher able to rotate that can engage othe the large and small cogs. Hope this help.
