    This guy has a true passion for men’s dress shoes. He promotes well priced and crafted shoes from his competitors, giving credit where credit is due, that should tell you everything you need to know about this guy.

    I admire your decision to learn shoemaking before starting your line. I'm sure you're a better designer and more appreciate of the work that goes into crafting a pair of shoes because you were willing to spend that time learning. Best wishes to you.

    Justin FitzPatrick made a huge diference not only in the way i wore shoes, but in the way i dress, the way a person should visualize life. My shoes wardrove now went fron two pairs (black & cordovan bluchers) to double monks. perforated oxfords, all kind of wing tips, cap toes, dress boots, desert boots, kilties shoes, boat shoes and many others that of course made me to dress up. I feel amazing in the street dressing sharp with beautifull shoes that punch out my out fit. Greetings from México!

    I had no idea of your story, journey, or vision. All fantastic!
    You’ve definitely helped me find my way to better shoes. Entering my consciousness just a little at a time, as I’d come upon your videos and articles (quite accidentally) now and again over the last few years. This eventually blossomed into a full awareness of better quality shoes that I previously had no idea or appreciation of. Thank you very much for that!
    I wish you great success! Thank you for helping to expand my own awareness. I too hope you see better shoes on the feet of all people and in the process, a total shift of consumer patterns including a turning away from fast fashion back to quality, integrity, and an appreciation for the materials and craftsmanship we use in all aspects of life.

    since I can remember, can remember looking at all the styles of mens shoes and thinking off them as art, the shape, styles. And how some of the fits curved and molded to the shape of their feet. Great to see someone with a passion for men's shoes.

    Justin, Thank you for pursuing and fulfilling your dream.Your passion is incessant! Hearing your story has rekindled my own dream of designing a collection of men's bespoke shoes. For the past 4 years, I have been apprenticing as a cobbler, in a well-heeled area of Maryland. I've learned a great deal about construction, various styles, and range of designers. I look forward to expanding upon this knowledge, and thank you for the inspiration. Blessings and continued success. - Eugene

    Very stylish shoes and an amazing story but wow, the price. The most expensive ready to wear Spanish-made shoes on the market, even a pair of Carminas are 100 euros cheaper.

    • @theshoesnob_official
      @theshoesnob_official  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      JimIBobIJones glad that you like them. as per the price, well that is what happens when you buy from a factory and are not the factory yourself. Plus Carmina IMHO undervalue their own shoes....To me they are better than C&J handgrade and sell for 250 Euros less than them

    • @JimIBobIJones
      @JimIBobIJones 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Justin FitzPatrick Thanks for the recommendation. I have generally been a bit suspicious of Spanish shoes after buying a pair of Berwicks from Debenhams, which were passable but nothing amazing. Good to know that the shoes a bit up the price ladder are of better quality.

    • @theshoesnob_official
      @theshoesnob_official  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      My pleasure. Yes there are good ones and bad ones. Same goes for England and every country though

    • @ArieVisker
      @ArieVisker 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Justin FitzPatrick (The Shoe Snob) what do you think of Greve and "van Bommel" those are the brands I usaly wear.

  • @growingmelancholy8374
    @growingmelancholy8374 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Fitzpatrick... sounds quite Spanish, is that why you decided to have your shoes made in Spain? Or was it because the labor was cheaper?

    • @theshoesnob_official
      @theshoesnob_official  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      FitzPatrick sounds quite Spanish? Not sure why the sarcasm. I chose Spain for many reasons, and yes one of which is that you don't pay for the idea of it being made in Spain like you do with England and Italy. I am going to pay just because something is made in a certain country. It's like paying an entry fee to a club. It's ridiculous.

    • @growingmelancholy8374
      @growingmelancholy8374 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although that point is valid, that is not what I said, at all. I wasn't talking about the consumer, I was talking about what the owner pays the workers. Anyways, I apologize for the unnecessary criticism.

    • @theshoesnob_official
      @theshoesnob_official  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no problem. but your statement is not accurate because wages in Italy are just like in Spain, if not lower. I lived in Italy and knew the wages there. The problem with Italy is that you pay for the idea of "made in Italy." Spain is not a 3rd world country. It simply doesn't charge for the idea of it being made there.
