SUNDAY COOKING IN SAMOA | TURKEY TAIL, OFU PUAA, KALE MOA AND UMU | EPISODE 47

Talofa lava and welcome back to another episode of our usual Sunday cooking here in Samoa. Our usual umu was prepared by baking our Taro in the oven. Our mains was turkey tail or pipi with round cabbage, cucumber and noodles, ofu puaa (pork), sausages for the kids and a last minute chicken curry.

Seki feed uce.. greetings from here in Melbourne, Australia. To help cut time off the turkey tails next time, parboil your pipi’s whole then remove from the water this way it helps to get rid of some of the excess fat and it’s easier to pull out the quill from the pipi’s. Then you can cut them to your desired portion sizes then straight back into the pot to fry. Hope this helps uso.
