Thanks for hammering home these basic tips, Jim! I've learned so much about controlling the light in my images using your techniques. I now see what a big difference a change in tint can do--I must remember to try that more often!
Thanks Jim! I appreciate this video as a great way of combining a lot of your prior videos into one edit. It made it really easy to see how they fit together. Great video as always!
Thanks for all your videos on Luminar! I am brand new to photography and photo editing, I just purchased Neo and I also have DXO Pure Raw 4… should I do noise reduction first and then take .dng file it creates into Neo?
Great tuto and tips ! Nice result. What i don't like in neo is not separating unique global raw develop from a separate panel called "local" where you make same local adjustments you did but with a name on each local "green", "white",... Here you have lot of "develop" layers in stack and no idea what they do. I mentioned that several times to Skylum without success. Also that we cannot come back to a radial or linear gradient in local adjustments (changing handles,...) only a brush can be used to refine a gradient. This is where ON1 and LRC are much more powerful, also using AI presets and masks. In LRC you have a "pin icon" to address each local adjustment.
Thanks Marc and yes I have given similar feedback to them (as recently as this week). I hope they make some of these adjustments to Neo to make it easier for us. Thanks!
Yeah good question and it can be hard to do. It would require a lot of very small clone and stamp work I imagine. I am hoping there will be an AI tool for this at some point but nothing yet.
Awesome Jim, I have lost my 50 personalized presets that I created for Aurora 1.2.7 (2019). I don't know where to find them. Help?!! Thank you in advance.
Yes make sure to do the update if you haven't. but note that is a paid feature so it will depend on what your license is. You can always log into your account to check or email their support team. But note that there is never any masking on Develop Raw. Only there on Develop when you're using it a second/third/etc time.
The changes in the ceiling on the left are particularly striking. I like it! 🙂
thanks Theo!

Yes if there is noise it's generally best to do that first and then edit afterwards.
10/10 as usual, thank you Jim👍😎

Can you please help how to remove eye glass glare using neo
Yeah good question and it can be hard to do. It would require a lot of very small clone and stamp work I imagine. I am hoping there will be an AI tool for this at some point but nothing yet.
Great edit at a unique location.
(what did it smell like?)
😁
haha thanks Leon and I don't recall any particular smell actually
Can you please list the camera and lens used… some of us love the quality of the original photo and wish to try and replicate that vibe.
Oh sure, it was shot with my Sony A7II and the 16-35mm f/4 lens, at 16mm and f/9 for 2.5 seconds
is it possible to show the masks themselves like in Photoshop? So that you can see a stack of masks to see which one is where?
You can't show them all at once time, you would have to open each tool to show the mask used on that tool.

Hi there and I am not sure where they would have gone. Perhaps try their support team?
Awesome @@JimNix I didn't know 'where' the temp files were kept. I have backups from before. Thank you! Awesome Dave
@@dreamvacationworld ok great and hope they can get it sorted for you
My masking choices on Luminar Neo do not include a color mask under Develop Raw, am I just missing an update?
It just came out last month. Definitely worth installing it.

My luminar neo (1.21.2) Doesn't have the color mask option that you shows in tip #5. Any idea how I could get it?
Where are all the pigeons?! The homeless?! 😁
LOL probably around there somewhere
