- In this video I share how my students and I selected “one word” to live by in 2018. I based our conversation around By Jon Gordon, Jimmy Page and Dan Britton book One Word That Will Change Your Life. My students did an amazing job reflecting on their lives, thinking about what they want to improve upon, and figuring out what they need to do to get there.

Funny, but I never thought about doing this with my students. I might still do this even though we're almost at the end of January. I love the idea. :) I think this year's word for me will be "imagine"...haven't ever picked one before either, but have liked the idea for a few years. Thanks for your inspiration!
My #oneword2018 is Organized. I am determined to be a more organized person. I am the Librarian at Dry Ridge Elementary and I started a One Word project with my 5th graders today.
My word is Simplicity. Keep it simple to stay focused in the moments. Simplicity will help me keep my plate not so full so that I will be a better support to the students I work with and see on a day to day basis.
What a great exercise to do as a class. I am starting a new monthly EdTech on TH-cam Playlist. Even though this doesn't have a tech component, I am adding this to this month's playlist as this is such a beautiful idea.
