Going paperless is a game changer! I study translation and the amount of handouts we have is astonishing. We get them on email and are supposed to print them out before class. I dont have to prepare for class and just download them in class lol. Nowadays everything is digital, I dont have any books and one! notebook. I use anki and quizlet for flashcards, goodnotes for notetaking and pdfs, microsoft stuff for writing assignments and presentations. I also never take pen and paper to class, theres always someone who has a spare sheet of paper and a pen. its amazing 😂❤
Sarah V :-) Thank you for sharing how you use your iPad as a student! The way you presented it really resonated with me-it made me feel like I can do it too, without getting discouraged by those perfectly aesthetic notes others have. Your handwriting is great, and I love that you focused on what really matters. Sticking to one app and mastering it is such a refreshing approach. Wishing you all the best on your TH-cam journey!
New subscriber here! Not a nursing student but I’ll be starting grad school for counseling psychology this fall and this video came out at the perfect time!!! I’ve always been into hand writing my notes only and highlighting etc and I’ve been going back and forth on buying the iPad but watching this video is encouraging me!!💜 thank you for such a detailed video!!🫶🏼
Been loving your videos!! I’m going into my first year of nursing in September so your videos have been super helpful, is there anything you’ve been doing leading up to you starting to make sure you’re prepared going into it like review or anything? 🥰
Thank you! Iv mostly been trying to take care of things that I can take care of now so I won’t have to once I start. Like getting my oil changed, getting any diy house projects done, organizing my clothes and pantry’s so things are organized and run more efficiently As far as review goes…. I haven’t done much. Most of the people I know say to relax because this is the time to do that before things get crazy. My intro to pharmacology professor already sent out a reading assignment of 3 chapters and classes don’t start until the 19th so I’m definitely doing that.
Do you pay for the notability subscription? I'd like to make sure my notes are backed up just in case, but I really wish it was a one time purchase... I am starting my pre-req's for nursing in two weeks and I am trying to get a grasp on how to go about switching from pen and paper to ipad. For reference, it has been over a decade since I have been in school. Also would you be willing to make a short video going through the motions of setting up a "fake" brand new note and your process of note taking?
I do pay! I think the first time was $4 for the whole year and I think it’s $14.99 once a year from there. 100% worth it! I was also out of school for a while before I started back. About 7 years so I totally get that it takes time to get used to things! And I can do that video it just might take me some time to get to it!
@@SarahVau23 I ended up opting for Goodnotes 6 only because it is a one time purchase and seems to have all the essentials I will need/use just as Notability. It would be great if you still make a video going over your note taking process though as it is cohesive enough from one app to the other. Thank you! :)
They were all confusing to me at first. That’s why I highly recommend spending a week or two before classes start to get used to all the different features and learning how to use it

Aww thank you! The iPad is SUCH a game changer. I wish I switched sooner. Goodluck on grad school!
Great video Sarah. Looking at going paperless myself and I love videos like this to see other peoples perspectives and use cases.
Thank you! It really changed everything for me!

What's the name of this app...
Noteability
Do you use a laptop too?
Yes! I use it if I need to write papers or have a second screen for videos like TH-cam when I’m needing extra help on grasping stuff
Do you have IG?
I do but I’m not very active on it
