It's crazy how much shit Alestorm gets despite being the furtherest from serious possible. Alestorm songs aren't supposed to be big and fancy, although that is appreciated. When they do silly stuff like this, I don't understand how you could hate something like it. It's just so much fun
S tier animation, A tier song. Song lacks clarity, little bit more lyrics. It sings party time, but words are compressed together. It is harder to distinguish them and it doesn't have the omphf which you would suspect.
I saw Alestorm last Friday and met Christopher in the crowd area after the show. Told him about this animated series idea that's been going around and he said he wants it and would like it to happen.

I used to drink beer literally every day, I'm happy to say I've cut down a lot but today I'm indulging in a few beers because well, it's my birthday. How did I celebrate? Well I made myself and my dear old mom a killer dinner with pepper beef, baked potatoes and homemade garlic butter. When I say homemade I mean it, churned from cream. I love cooking, baking and everything related to it so this was a hobby treat for me. Of course Alestorm graced my speakers throughout the process. Rock on mateys!

Usually animated metal videos are so cheap and awful. But this one is really great. Even more I think this the best animated metal videos I’ve ever saw.
Love the animation! I did notice a small inconsistency on like my 5th watch, at 1:31 the pirate Captain held the telescope up to his eyepatched right eye without lifting the eyepatch up. Either way small problem that I just wanted to point out
This song is so damn catchy and the animation is beyond amazing! So many new details I notice upon each rewatch! Yet despite this, why do I focus on the all hips moving/swaying? The animation is so smooth and all I can think is it's so sassy and what I love the most!
I love the ending, where the captain lets the eyepatch snap into place, the tiny details and sounds that are there but dont interrupt the song is so beautifully done. Such parts are when said captain stomps his foot at 0:44, 0:57 where the bottle makes an actual sound. 2:02 where the landing makes a thud, 2:43, the sound of barrels rolling on wood. And the animation is so smooth and well made, and at 3:01, the captain gives a thumbs up back to the crew, as they steal the treasure. Another really nice detail is at 1:58 where the captain thrusts his waist forward as the cannon fires. Theres probably more tiny details, but the song is really well made, and so are the visuals.
I was at work today and got talking to a customer after telling him his shirt looked really cool. It had a skeleton riding a skateboard on it. He told me that alestorm was a band and I said I'd check them out. He then told me they make songs about pirates and I was thinking ? 🤔 ? Wasn't sure what to expect but I'm pleasantly surprised. Theres probably more tiny details, but the song is really well made, and so are the visuals.
I havent mentioned the sounds where the map is shown, as those sounds are decently noticeable, such as the rubber duck squeaking.
