Loving your videos so much ❤. They are just so calming and so beautiful to watch. What a stunning place Cornwall is. We are hoping to visit the UK in the future but we are going back to Japan again this year as we loved it there. My ancestry is mainly Scottish ( Isle of Skye), English and Irish with a bit of Swiss and Danish in there. My daughter traced my partners family tree and I think it was his great great grandfather who was from York and was sent over as a convict at 17 for stealing chickens. There was even a record of him receiving so many lashes at I think it was 10 years old for something he had done. Unbelievable to think that could be done to a child back then. It’s funny to think of my partner being descended from a convict as there are quite a few police amongst his siblings and cousins these days.
Sharon i am so pleased that you've started a channel! I have followed for years over on insta. Your videos are so wholesome and relaxing, thank you! Ps I bloody love those gloves and I need a pair, look lovely and cosy whilst seed sowing x
@steph_mx This has made me smile thank you ☺️🙏🏼 The gloves were bought around 15 years ago at a craft fair from a lovely lady who was next to me selling and I chose from the wool stash that she had with her and she knitted them for me ☺️ I wish I remembered her name as I would love another ♥️
A beautiful fox (I'm a fan 😉) - he looks very well-fed ;). A fox wreaked havoc among our chickens when we had them, years ago - as did a raccoon - and it was devastating, as you can imagine. It was easier to forgive the fox for some reason, though it was spring and I know they were both probably just mamas trying to feed their babies. We aren't able to keep chickens where we are now and I miss them so much -- though I don't know if I could handle the trauma of predators again! Thank you for another lovely video - they're my favourite to watch these days. 😊

I also live in Cornwall and have worked for the hen welfare trust, rescuing and rehoming thousands of hens over the years. In my experience, electric fencing is the only way to protect poultry from foxes and badger attacks. We have many beautiful foxes who live near our hens and our rescue girls free range 24 hours a day - but as they are protected by electric fencing, the foxes merrily stroll past the hens whilst taking their daily route through our land. As a result, we haven’t had a fox attack since putting the electric fencing up - which is more than 10 years ago
