I just got my preloved EAH basic/ First chapter day and complete Blondie Lockes doll! Im so happy that the seller included EVERYTHING on the doll! (w/ bookmark)

I did this on my Farrah doll and it removed her glue seepage (she had very messy and "eewy" hair). Now I putted her hair in boiling water for 3 minutes just dipped it continuously then applied shampoo.. washed it off after 1 minute then applied conditioner and brushed her hair (I always put conditioner first BEFORE I comb the hair to possibly reduce hair loss). And now my Farrah's hair is silky soft!

Ohhh fantastic! I think what you have done here is soooo much better! Esp NOT SOAKING THE DOLLS HEAD IN GOO GONE (as you remember my doll head swelled up and busted off) oh well. Any way your doll looks awesome, and have resorted my thoughts on using Goo Gone very strategically in dealing with sticky glue sepage hair! Yay!

I tried the Goo Gone method, although I soaked her head in a cup full of it. Thankfully she was okay, and I washed her hair after two hours with the Dawn Platinum stuff. However, I don't have any synthetic hair/wig shampoo, so I used just regular shampoo. I still feel some icky stuff in her hair. Would it be safe to try Goo Gone again, maybe without soaking the head and just rubbing it through like you did, and then using the Dawn and regular shampoo (don't have conditioner)? Thanks!

You may want to try applying just a little bit to the spots that are still sticky, and only leave it on for 30 minutes or less. You may also want to get a travel size bottle of conditioner to soften the hair afterwards. Or if you have fabric softener, that could work too. I bought some other products to try removing stickiness, but I haven't tested them yet.

Oh...and maybe mixing it with baking soda...I think that mixture cleans everything.
