Thank you. I suffer from many illnesses and the worst one right now is ENDLESS ENDLESS CHRONIC PAIN. I am supposed to be getting a pain pump put in this next week. So in all their intelligence they decided I need 4.5 days without any relief at all. No pain meds, nothing. I'm praying this helps me sleep if even for a few minutes.

I read a lot of comments and wanted to ask what is it about this video that makes everyone drawn to it for sleep/relaxation? I know why it makes me feel safe and relaxed. I’m from Houston, Texas and grew up with the most powerful thunderstorms imaginable. My childhood home had skylights installed throughout so I’d hear and see these storms, yet I always felt loved, safe, and secure. It was the best! Do y’all associate storms with your childhood?
I do too. It makes me sad we hardly get them at all now. I'm from the North of England so plenty of rain. Just not the thunder storms I remember as a child.

In the day time if I’m reading I love to listen to the videos with wind and birds. Or if it’s raining outside I’ll play a soft or light rain to amplify the rain outside. Thunder and rain does relax me and I go to sleep...I remember several decades ago..there was a 🌪️ that destroyed part of our neighborhood while we slept.. thunder and lightning but do not remember rain before I went to bed...have such respect for Mother Nature!

its soothing because we always must shelter from the storm, and its likely all else will too. So that is a safe feeling, in a tent, under a tarp, or whatever. One must stop and rest and wait, which causes deeper thoughts of our place in creation
I like this one for fond childhood memories of sitting on the porch watching storms with my grandfather and it does relax me. However my insomnia is HORRIBLE and I subconsciously fight my medication; so hearing trains in travel and the normal sound of tires on the road intermittently perks me up.
