Amritsar was very important city and has had its glory uplifted during the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. His period is considered to be the Golden Era of Punjab when the people felt safe and witnessed prosperity. It gave rise to a lot of great art and architecture work in the city. One of the long-standing architectures from the King's time is a forgotten place called Pul Kanjri.
