according to when i searched the answers of the meaning of the song i found this one site in comment section and seemed all agreed what this song is about Seems to be a song about a man and a woman who are soul mates, but haven't actually found each other yet. The fact that the male half of the song is in German and the female half is in English might symbolize how the two are "worlds apart". Even though the song portrays the determination of never giving up hope in their search, it also illustrates the pain of being without one another. He watches them through the window at night as they have sex and wishes to be in his place. She doesn't know that he exists. Her desire to have his hands around her neck until she faints are his fantasies. These fantasies go until her death and he wants to do it. He is just waiting for an opportunity. The really disturbing thing about the song is that it sounds musically wonderful and romantic. As if it were a love song. Which is probably true from the stalker's point of view.
