    You’ve impressed me to the max! I finished my tool and die apprenticeship in 1972. A few years later I started my own machine shop doing overflow work for another shop. Before too long things grew and I bought my first CNC (Hurco) soon that led to more and more machines. Sadly we ran out of room soon. Now my dedication to my family (3 sons) took precedence over growing the business to the next level. I became happy being a big fish in a small pond. I sold the business to my sons 15 years ago. I’m loving retirement and have a nice small machine shop in my garage. Around 20 years ago I started making motorcycle performance parts. Very successful until China knocked me off and sadly patents didn’t protect me. Even though I sold the business they are my sons and I still consult a lot. Im very impressed with your pallet and Roto vise. I’ve told them to seriously look into it. They are very fortunate to have repeat parts. The majority are engineered plastics. We probably make over 200 different pieces yearly. In addition we make our own products along with general job shop now and then. I’d love the opportunity to email you with questions and suggestions. Love your channel and all your information.

    Cleaning and maintenance is the key to successful work on any CNC. Maybe you could do a special on cleaning and maintenance; just show some of the guys taking good care of the machines. I'd love to see how other people do this.
    Talking about cleaning: Meguiar’s Ultimate Wash & Wax or Turtle wash & shine for cleaning the outside of your machines? 😉

    It would be interesting to follow a product through production and have you do a value stream map of the process. Also your efforts on SMED and how you do machine setups to try and get to one piece flow.

    Thanks for sharing this with us. Sometimes it's those little things in a shop that all seem to ad up. I look at some of this stuff and think, 'Duh, Why didn't I set it up like that?'

    question:: why no bar feeder on the Lynx?

    • @Factory400
      @Factory400 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A bar puller is all that is needed to cover the volume and bar feeders take a ton of space.
