They finally fix that seat post with "normal" clamp, good to know. That was the only thing that was holding me from buying. Thanks for a good look at bike.
Just bought this exact bike, waiting for it in mail so nice to see the video. My other bikes are 54 cm but I had to buy a small, seems what they call a small, most companies call a medium. Hopefully it fits.
I have the pale green Aeroad with the SRAM Rival eTap group set. I’ve always ridden a 56cm frame but since Canyon doesn’t use cm measurements for their sizes, I bought a Small frame based on their online measurement tool. I’m 5’10” tall with a 31” inseam and this bike fits me fine. I do think Canyon’s sizes run a tad bigger than you might expect them to be.
Are you sure those tires are setup tubeless? The lack of a valve securing nut leads me to think that those are TPU Schwalbe Aerothan tubes. The Valve Cap is also 1:1 from the Aerothans. So you might want to check before you add some sealant to those tubes ;)
i think they updated the frame on this new colorway. if you look at where hes weighing the frame 0:22 it has a diagonal line but the other colorways its more 90 degrees. also they did away with the plastic piece where the seat post meets the frame which gives it a sleeker look.
The saving is pretty minimal. I think it’s only about 1 watt. But it’s something that we know works an should be a basic on high end bikes in my opinion. The specialized I unboxed recently didn’t have them for £7200. Whilst they are more expensive to put on your wheel, For that price they are but a fraction of the cost for something faster and for me actually improves the aesthetic of the wheel a lot. I hope that clarifies for you.
@@cyclingunboxed I just took delivery Canyon of an Aeroad SLX ( and waiting for a Speedmax) . I am a Specialized man at heart and have 3 of their bikes but the big bike companies need to work harder at lowering their prices and giving better high end components on higher end bikes. The New Sworks is 15K usd. That's crazy when a Canyon with equal components is 8-9K. And Canyon is not cutting corners on wheels and other accessories including customer service. I feel like it's almost (fiscally) irresponsible to buy otherwise.
I fully agree. It has become very hard to justify now. Also a massive specialized guy but not sure I would spend my money on their bikes at the moment.
So you're telling me that you're one of the lucky few who has the ideal bike position to fit the stock set-up for that frame? Such a shame Canyon won't help buyers to attain the exact set-up required.
No. For me I prefer Shimano gearing. But I set it up like sram. Then with this paint job, I love this one and I love to see it… but the MVDP is clean and I think it suits my personal tastes more.
Yea, just means you will be one cog smaller on the back at most times. The sram gear ratios suit certain people better such as my gf but the Shimano gear range suits me better personally. I do find on Shimano, the only time I ever use 52/11 I am doing faster than 55kmh and it’s very rear I am pedalling at that speed.
It's pretty unacceptable that there is no option for a longer stem on a $9k bike. I have short legs and long torso so need a size S and 110mm stem, but it only comes with 90mm.
it is a feature they do really need to get a handle on I think. They do also stock the sram bikes with a 10/28 cassette which I think is unnecessarily small for most people. The aeroad frame does come out a bit longer though so may be worth trying one.
This isn’t my bike. I only have the tarmac and the orbea Ordu on this channel. Every canyon you see so far on this channel is a friend who is letting me inbox it for them.
That paint job is sick!! Loved the Manga Paint job edition but this one is def up there!
One of my favourites too. I think if I was to get an Aeroad, it would be this paint job
This bike is soooo beautiful! Bike of my dreams. Thank you so much for the video, excellent work!!!

It took them a while but glad they finally did it
Came for the hair!
Stayed for the review, nice
Haha love it! Thanks
Beautiful paint job!

The canyons come out a little large so you should be alright
Where did you find this color of the frame?
How did you like the bike

You are right, I made a poor assumption here when filming. I thought these were the hookless wheels but they are not.
Are those hook less or hooked tubeless wheels??? I would love to just add a light weight tpu inner tube instead of that messy sealant 😅

I haven’t noticed this before. Thanks for pointing it out.
I own a CF SLX in green ( vid on my Chanel), I asure you there’s no better bike for the money. Beautiful super fast bike.
Great video, question, do the bars measure 390mm centre to centre or outer to outer?
Thank you!
The bars are 390mm to the centre of the bar on each side. Not outer to outer
Thanks for the review. can you please explain your preference for bladed spokes.

I Guess its only the stem length that’s an issue because you can choose bar width. I do think it would be nice to choose that though.
Is size Small good for a rider of 1.70 cm in body height ?
Do you have a current bike you can compare the geometry with?
Which size Canyon do I buy?

Would you pick this version of the Aeroad CFR bike over the new Aeroad CFR Mvdp in all white with the Shimano Dura-Ace di2 group set?
No. For me I prefer Shimano gearing. But I set it up like sram.

Anyone, please. Where can it be bought in size S. Either complete bike or frame kit. Give me a tip
Im the same height but i was measured for XL. Longer legs maybe?
Is that a 50/37 Sram chainring fast enough against a 52/53 ultegra chainrings?

Tbh the only thing that is missing for me is Urm a 52 tooth chain ring but maybe the cassete will offer the same support
Well, I hope you will have the chain nicely waxed!
I will make sure this person waxes their chain! It’s an essential
Include the bottle cages and the Garmin mount?
No, these you pay for unfortunately
Ele parece ser bem alto.
Qual tamanho da bicicleta?
I am 192cm tall. This bike is size medium and is one size to small for me. (It’s not my bike)
Can you share the 3D print file for the front computer bracket?
It’s actually purchasable from canyon itself. The person who bought this bike did that. There may be a file out there online but I am unsure.
I like the bike stand what brand is it ?
It’s a canyon bike stand. You can buy it on their website
where did you get your bike ayyyy hmmmm lovely where did you get the money from ? 😆
Sadly not my bike. Got a group of friends and they let me un box them for my channel.

Nice looking bike but I would have expected lighter for top of the line.
For aerobike its very light.
Yeah, I wish it were 2 lbs lighter.
I think all SRAM comes with 160. unlike shimano
It’s an inner tube in the wheels shipped…
It is something I have already corrected in the description, I only had so much time with the bike do I made a mistake.
if the reach is too short, you bought the wrong bike. Nice paing job.
This isn’t my bike. I only have the tarmac and the orbea Ordu on this channel. Every canyon you see so far on this channel is a friend who is letting me inbox it for them.
give me a gift😍😍😍😍
Really beautiful colour!!
Really unique one. I am a big fan!
