What blows me away about that "next gen of players" dynamic is that the guys watch fans play covers of their stuff (music inspired by them) and notice techniques or ideas that the fans had to use to play somethng they needed two players to do and incorporate those things into their matrix. So starting at this level, they inspire greatness that then inspires them. As far as I'm concerned ALL these fantastic, next level musicians can just keep pushing each other to new heights. I'm just gonna enjoy the ride. 🤘🤘🤘
After listening to this song frequently for a while now, it's reactions like yours that remind me how good it really is. And it shows how fast we get used to stuff.
I got into a huge argument with old school friends about Henderson, them poo-pooing. Then I pointed out that Al Di Meola was attempting the same riffs and vibes with a band 1/5th as tight as this one. Imagine Elegant Gypsy with a Neil Pert clone dialed to eleven.
Tim Henson is a Beast on guitar! They’re well fire!! 🔥 I started watching you for Ren but now you’re on Polyphia! That’s me hooked! They have a track with Steve Vai called Ego Death which is amazing!! Oh and Bloodbath with Chino Moreno is fire too! 🖤
Love the reaction! You should totally check out Paolo Gans’ cover of this song. The band saw it in a contest and Paolo won Tim’s signature guitar. It’s an amazing cover! Blessings, thanks for the video!! 🙏🏻💖🪶🎶🐺
My son has that guitar and it’s awesome. Very versatile even with the nylon strings. Comfortable to play, sounds great and build quality for a $700 guitar is crazy good.
@@ItsMeBarnaby Agree! It is also so light and because it is thinner, my son says it is very easy to play. Not polyphia songs though. He still struggles with those lol. I was not aware that the pickup was $300 alone. That is crazy how they kept the price so low. The newer Tim Henson electric signatures are also very nice looking but more in line with prices I would expect. Still shocked they did not release a 7 string version though.
These guys makes you wanna throw out your gutiar or drums or bass guitar into the garbage lol.... But you are so mad that you go back and dig in the garbage and pick up your instrument again and start practicing again, after years of not touching it.
Really enjoyed your reaction dudes. Steve Via plays a track with them on the latest album. Watch 'GOAT' from their previous album for another style and another WTF moment... lots of youtube views th-cam.com/video/9_gkpYORQLU/w-d-xo.html
Call me an obsessed fan...Ive studied the hell out of this band. Tim Henson who is the primary creative force started studying music by playing violin in orchestra at a very young age; years before picking up a guitar after hearing his dad play one day. I believe his earliest influences were Hendrix, Zapa , and others from that era thanks to his dads influence. As he got older he got into all of the influences in modern music from pop to metal to rap and trap music. But... (JMO), I believe it all gets mixed down into a highly condensed, up tempo compositions that reflect a classical way of telling a story with music. Its in the way he takes a simple catchy melody and explores its many variations. def. check out Ego Death w Steve Vai (Vai is actually a big fan of the band). I also strongly recommend Reverie and for a sweet taste from an older album check out Yas if you like that "summer groove" feel. :)
They have a song with Steve Vai so you're likely correct on one influence.

I picked up his guitar last year and I have to say it’s the most comfortable, best playing nylon I’ve ever touched.

OMG...Ego Death bruh. Polyphia & Steve Vai !! 🔥
Check out their song Ego Death for a nice surprise :)
To the old folks, Polyphia it's like Dream Theather and a rap beat had a child, but this child is a prodigy 😂
Man when he mentioned Steve Vai I was like …well hold on buddy!

Playing Job - Polyphila - Tim Henderson, Scott LeMage, Clay Booger, Clay Aeschlidad
I got into a huge argument with old school friends about Henderson, them poo-pooing. Then I pointed out that Al Di Meola was attempting the same riffs and vibes with a band 1/5th as tight as this one.
Imagine Elegant Gypsy with a

2:30 that gesticulation describes how I feel about this band!
"Remeber of Steve Vai ?" Yep they also made a feat with Him, crazy good stuff !
Both guitarists r equal in my opinion. Scott Lepage is as good as Tim Henson. Clay & Clay, drummer & bassist r all 4 talented.
Talk about the next gen of musicians... Mateo Mancuso and Max Ostro! Dang we can't forget Scott LePage 😀
"Remember Steve Vai?" lulz
Called it! 7:09
I'm catching Al Dimeola vibes......😎

I grew up playing guitar when Satriani and Vai were popular, love them both. You should listen to Tina S covering Vai's For the love of God
G.O.A.T is a super good one too, and they all get a solo
On the other hand they actually made me to start playing guitar. 😂
Just watch Tim playing this song unpluged ...
Check out his unplugged version.

Tim Henson vs will Ramos in a NICE-OFF contest
Rect to beatbox, trust me

Eddie van halen was the best guitar in the world. Now tim henson is the best guitarrist of the history!
Listen to a song with electric guitar....
Tim Henderson is the next big thing. Posers expose themselves
