- The Arkhamverse Batman turned out to be a pretty acceptable collectible despite some serious flaws. Will this Deathstroke be able to keep pace or will it languish on the clearance pegs due to the limited articulation and poor source accuracy with which this line has been plagued?

@@AnthonysCustoms you do know deathstroke is a robin/nightwing/DICK grayson villain or a teen titans villain people keep changing who his enemies are but in the original timelines he's a teen titans villain first appeared in teen titans the judues contract I know I got that wrong ^

The hands being shaped like that really kills the figure for me. He looks stupid with his hands like that.
I hate these stupid unfinished sheaths/scabbards they put on their figures.
For me the biggest thing was the missing staff.
Deathstroke is definitely one of the coolest DC Villains ever.

I got this figure yesterday and as I was messing around with it last night, I was already doing your review in my head and nail on head.
All the flaws I found is everything you pointed it out.
Only thing saving these figures is sculpt work.
Though, Death Metal Batman is surprisingly good.
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the crappy scabbard with no back on it which shows his sword. Or did I miss something....? =(
I wouldn’t say he is a specific Batman villain, but out of all of the people Batman has fought physically, deathstroke is the most challenging, yes even harder to beat than bane, ra’s al ghul, red hood and the court of owls. This is one of the reasons I can’t forgive Batman Arkham knight for making him a side boss that you fight within the bat mobile that was bullcrap
I even remember after you capture Deathstroke and you put him in the batmobile Deathstroke tells Batman to let him out to have a proper fight. And I was like listen to him batman, please
I happen to really dig this figure. My only real gripe is the molded in gun, but I have a 100 other guns I can give him, so it's not a huge deal. The sculpt is killer and the articulation is very good considering the limitations of all that armor. I give it an 8 out 10 personally.

Like an Arkham Deathstroke sounds SO great on paper !
I'd say yes he is but Deathstroke isn't technically a Batman villain, he first appeard in Teen Titans and has fought many characters other than Batman hell if you want to call him a villain of anyone it'd be more accurate to say he's a Dick Grayson villain but because he was in a Batman game people just assume he's a Batman villain
I remember him fighting Batman in the old AO trailers,that game had the best trailers..
I just want more companies to take advantage of the Arkham games character designs,this was pretty much a missed opportunity.

Personally I would rather lose the toe articulation all together for thigh swivels. Especially here they could be so well hidden.
the more I think about it, some of those cardboard card could be valuable in the future resell market, due to people really not valuing them during production and their disposable nature will probably make them quite rare, added with the value inherent in the ip

of course, it's a mere possibility and far from certain, just stating it had qualities that could make it valuable if ever future demand manifest, the two being it has little perceived value and it's disposable nature combined guarantees rarity added with potential nostalgia associated with the ip.
I’ll never really see Deathstroke as a Batman villain, he’s always gonna be a titans one. Also if they’re going to sculpt a gun intol the holster, just leave it empty

The fact that the shotgun shells are painted just orange is the only paint app that bothers me....and no-one is talking about it! 😅
Weathering and a new paint job would be amazing for this figure.

Batman’s greatest villain is actually Martha.
No alternate hands, no alternate head (they could have had him snarling like when batman took his helmet off) and they could have given him his gadget from the game with some accesories for that as well. And why'd they bother with a trigger finger if he doesn't even have a gun? Hoping the fans would provide him with one?
The no gun thing is weird considering there are several other Multiverse figures that come with removable holstered guns (Flashpoint Batman and Red Hood for example). However, this figure doesn't really need alternate hands, and McFarlane doesn't do alternate heads for the Multiverse figures. I think Todd is going the way of old ToyBiz Marvel Legends and doing unmasked figures as separate releases (like the upcoming unmasked Flashpoint Batman).

The Good Samaritan is the best Batman villain easily
I've taken this figure apart. There is only the swivel at the diaphragm. At the waist is the crunch and tilt which is limited because the torso piece goes too far down. I cut off about a centimeter off of the bottom of the torso in my figure and it improved the articulation. I can't stress enough how careful you have to be if and when you pull the torso off of the joint. We've all seen pictures of the figures with this articulation snap for whatever reason. Heat is your friend.
The Arkham Origins/Arkham Knight design is easily one of Deathstroke’s best looks, probably his best- this shoulda been amazing.
Now that we know dc is against guns on figures I would much rather have molded in holster guns
As an observation, I feel like it's worth note that McF issues a really good plastic for these figures and doesn't get the nod enough for it. If you had tried to move a NECA figure, any NECA figure, as hard as you just tried to move that knee, 100% of the time you'd have broken it. I'm not saying glass half full, you were unable to move a point of articulation so that's clearly not good, BUT, Slade is still in 1 piece. Something to be said for that because you can spent a shitload more with some companies and have no such guarantee. At least with this you can boil, disassemble, fix and reassemble.
McFarlane lazyness and lack of quality control strikes again. Seriously, did people not learn anything from them? Remember the horrendous quality control issues they had with Halo Reach?

Shotgun shells look like Nerf bullets.
I believe they added joints inside the chestfor this figure and batman arkham knight, but the plastic overlay is super thick it wont allow for movement.
Yeah solid review, I love this design for Deathstroke or at least what it’s based off, the entire suit should have weathering to look battle worn, I can’t believe they left that out completely, 😂, they didn’t detail any weathering whatsoever, really bums me out as I was just starting to come around on these McFarlane figures after Damian, Nightwing, RedHood, Grim Knight, Azrael and Flashloint Bats (they have they’re flaws) but I really enjoy those figures. I went ahead and ordered this guy while watching your review and plan to weather his armor myself but it should already be there is the point right? Keep collecting! 🙌👊🙌🤟

He looks more like the DC animated movies Deathstroke, which is fine if you ask me. The DC animated movies are really good in my opinion. You should watch them and there's an order in which to experience them, you can find the list on Reddit.
My figure cant hold the katana with the left hand it just dont fit...do you now how to make it fit

Had this one for a few months now.. was actually my first dc multiverse figure... Looks pretty damn cool but the articulation is trash

I still have my DC Collectibles version of this figure, and even though the articulation is a little limited and the plastic is kind of brittle and scary to move around, I think the better deco just makes it so, so very much better than this figure. The sculpt on this one is a little bit better, but not enough to make a huge difference. If you have enough patience to repaint this figure, it could be a winner, but as is it just looks damn ugly to me.
My biggest gripe with this figure is actually that the head is way too small.

All these McFarlane toys just feel cheaply constructed - like they cut corners to save money? This death stroke for example I picked it up as well but it feels like a Ferrari in the picture but up close under the hood upon closer inspection all you’re driving is a 79 Pinto… same with the McFarlane designed Batman it has the potential to be so cool but it feels cheap and I hate that it has vinyl guns that are molded to the belt look soft and malleable like a toy eraser.

Wish MacFarlane would learn to do paint and washes and their figures would be so much better...
His old stuff has paint and washes and very little articulation but now his new stuff has articulation but very little paint... it odd.
@@danielbenjaminmesser6234 the articulation also seems to be a bit lacking. And the digital sculpting seems to take away from that art too- although I'll still take that over the cheap bodies and reused parts that Marvel Legends has.

You forgot his katana sheet that if half only and not complete. The WW LKOE of the Bane wave got the same problem and it looks ugly during photoshoots.
I was looking at my Deathstroke and noticed that the scale armor above the belt isn't painted either
I completely agree, they dropped the ball on this figure. I was so looking forward to it, but was very disappointed. For a character that utilizes weapons, he has none, with the exception of that soft sword.
I don’t know why but McFarlane hates accessories, like from the beginning with this line with the weird Superman hands.

Suprised Neca never did a 1/4 scale version. I have the arkham knight batman and it is stellar. The hot toys version of deathstroke is legit as well. Of course i am talking nin 1/12 scale so they can pack in more details.

I always thought his arkham design was over rated. I wish more companies would make more figures from his original comic book design or his rebirth comic book design.

Try bending him a bit, and kicking out. Really, this figure is terrible, it has no paint and that orange makes it look like a Kids meal toy. A wash really would have gone a long way. Also that sheath is stupid.

Todd is in the business of making junk. The ratio of awesome to mediocre figures from this company has got to be hovering around 6 to 1 if not more like 8 to 1.

i really need this figure, i dont care if hes weird deathstroke is like my favorite fictional character ever and i only got 1 action figure with 3 comic books of him -_-
And Todd knew this so that’s why very little effort was put in to this piece of trash.
There are better options. Mezco, Yamaguchi, and play arts Kai deathstroke are better. But those are probably hard to find.

Honestly since the son of batman movie where a 10 year old pokes his eye out, I kind of fell out of love with this character.
Still not as bad as Nick Fury loosing his eye to a cat in the MCU.... lol

Genetically enhanced mercenary with inhuman abilities and many years of training loosing an eye to a not as trained and not as genetically enhanced child.
Or government agent loosing an eye to a cosmic cat for "comedic" purposes in a shitty movie, ruining a scene from winter soldier a far better movie.
I think I still think the Deathstroke situation is worse, although I do get your point.
