Gulgong, 1st part sounds like Gull, as in seagull, not Goolgong, it's Gullgong. Like a yank trying to say Mel-bourne....

Australia has a sound reputation for abusing the Kings English, just look at Goondiwindi, people say Gundiwindi, however, Spike Milligan will tell you, "there's no "gun" in Goon!"😄

It's pronounced Gullgong not Goolgong
