Lyrics:
RING CAPACITY
I'm flying through the cold of space
Seems I've yet to find my place
Guarding Twenty Eight Fourteen
Don't know why it's chosen me
When from the corner of my eye
I catch a glimpse of evil light
The fear it tries to swallow me
Like I'm just some guy with an emerald...
Ring Capacity, Ninety Point One
Ring Capacity, Seventy Nine
Ring Capacity, Sixty Eight Five
Now I'm fighting for my life
Ring Capacity, Ninety Point One
Ring Capacity, Seventy Nine
Ring Capacity, Sixty Eight Five
Now the trick's to stay alive
I see the man who's made me bleed
The one who taught me everything
A purple man obsessed with me
Soul lost to the dark and it's now extinct
From any good he once possessed
Pledge to the oath now laid to rest
No time for doubt, no quick eject
Don't give in to fear, like my father said
Ring Capacity, Fifty Point Nine
Ring Capacity, Forty Six One
Ring Capacity, Thirty Eight Five
Now I'm fighting for my life
Ring Capacity, Fifty Point Nine
Ring Capacity, Forty Six One
Ring Capacity, Thirty Eight Five
Now the trick's to stay alive
My hands burn, my skin stings
Running low on what I need
A blast of light, my last recourse
I find my way to the power source
In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night
No Evil Shall Escape My Sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power, Green Lantern's light
Ring Capacity, Forty Six One
Ring Capacity, Fifty Eight Nine
Ring Capacity, Sixty Four Five
Now I'm charged and burning bright
Ring Capacity, Seventy Five
Ring Capacity, Eighty Three Two
Ring Capacity, Ninety Nine Nine
Now I'm back in to the fight - เพลง
Many years later, I still need more songs like these
I’m writing something today!!
@@MrQuanzilla All the lantern songs, ALL THE COLORS
Nothing is more badass than actually singing the Green Lantern's Oath from 2:17 - 2:32. That's the part that always gets me for the reason that someone else mentioned - it's something that you always imagine a hero to be like. It just gives you that little boost of confidence just to say - despite the odds. It's like you can feel the turning point of the video at that point.
"My hands burn, my skin stings," I've often wanted DC to write a story wherein it's explained that the Green Lantern energy is actually super painful to use, hence necessitating its user to have great willpower. They touched on it briefly in Blackest Night, but it's otherwise not been touched upon.
Not painfull but geofg johns introduced concept that made projection of one weak construct complete mind exhaustion to green arrow losing all will
"I'm flying through the cold of space, Seems I've yet to find my place"; "No time for doubt, no quick eject. Don't give in to fear, like my father said".
Really nice how the lyrics put emphasis on Hal's personality and motivations.
KalvinEllis you got THAT right!!!!😆😆😉😊😊😀😀😁😁😄😄😍😍😛😛😜😜😝😝😋😋😎😎😙😙😘😘😚😚💜💜👍👍
I discovered this song many years ago and I will never not get hyped up when the Green Lantern Corps oath is recited.
How am I just now stumbling onto this? This rocks! I love the ring capacity alerts throughout, it really gives a sense of urgency.
Whats wild is this song could have been in the movies sound track
You guys are so amazing, I’ve been listening to this song since I was about 9, your songs inspired me to make my own comics and hero’s/villains. Truly a talented group!!
Thank you, Alana! Since 9 is quite a compliment, and I’m honored the music was inspiring to create something awesome! - Kyle
@@kirbykracklemusic WOW!! You responded that’s literally a dream come true!! You guys are my favorite band and I’m so thankful you saw my comment !!!
Working the Oath into the song made me grin so wide. This is a /fantastic/ song!
NegaDruid of course it is we are talking about Green Lanterns here
still listening to this in 2019 just that good
Same it was a part of my childhood 🙂😌🤘
I'm a huge Green Lantern fan, and I only discovered this song in 2020. :D
2020 here lol known about it for a few years
Damned straight. Just found out about this today and wish I had learned of it years ago.
2021 and still going
Just wanted to tell you that my daughter LOVES this song. "It's the most awesome song I've ever heard" she said. She's one happy six-year-old.
I quite liked it, too.
Hahaha the highest compliment! Please tell he thank you for me. :) If she likes that, here is the 8-Bit version as well! kirbykrackle.bandcamp.com/track/ring-capacity-8-bit-version
Wish these guys had a song for the blue lanterns.
This sounds like a radio station name
"I'm John and you are listening to ring capacity!"
"That's the tragedy of all this, Jordan. Hal. We'll always be friends". Sinestro isn't *all* bad. Even if he is Space Hitler.
Andrew McGlame I mean sometimes ya just gotta be space hitler.
I've never heard Sinestro being named space Hitler I love it!!!
Lol my friend and I always refer to Darkseid as Space Hitler
lol Hitlet got nothing on Darkseid
Frieza is space hitler
This song is to Hal Jordan what "The Ballad of Barry Allen" is to The Flash.
Also, I've heard of Betsy Lee. She did an animated music video for the song "Mordred's Lullaby" by Heather Dale.
Ya still alive
You are absolutely right!
Q
I like all the lanterns, I'm more partial to Kyle since I grew up with him as Green Lantern, but I like when they brought Hal back they all kind of worked like the Musketeers, Hal was Athos, John was Aerimis, Guy was Porthos, and Kyle was Da'Argatan. (Sorry, terrible with spelling french names).
How come it took me this long to find a original Green Lantern song and music video?
From the looks of the first girl to have the courage to cheer at the end i would say the star sapphires are about to find there newest recruit.
Ring Capacity is the best superhero song since Aquaman's Lament and Jimmy Olsen's Blues.
Today is 2/8/14 Green Lantern day! (because earth is part of sector 2814)
I can't believe I did not realize Green Lantern day. If you'll excuse I'll plunge into a deep depression now.
TheDrawingScarecrow
*Suddenly a Grey light approaches you*
"Drawing Scarecrow, you have great depression, join the Grey Lantern Core.... or don't, not like it matters man.. sigh..."
:)
I shall become the Grey Lantern of sector 2814!
TheDrawingScarecrow
*Grey Ring:* "Yeah whatever, in the end it's all pointless... Get ready to meet the leader of the Corps, Eeyore!...meh"
You should really meet my friend Xan, he's somewhere in the Baldur's Gate.
Love the GL series so much. Just finished Blackest Night and so looking forward to Brightest Day. This song is just EPIC.
ok i just listened to ballad of barry allen by jim's big ego and this is definitely it's equivalent for GL. NICE!
FUN FACT: Jim is the nephew of the creator of Barry Allen.
+jkell159 The Ballad of Barry Allen is how I discovered these guys.
i love how green lantern just slaps sinestro at the end
I met you guys at a con years ago, when I discovered your music.
This song still helps me through the dark times. Thank you.
Thank you for your support and I’m really happy it makes you steer towards the light. All my best, and stay safe this holiday season.
@@kirbykracklemusic A friend of mine introduced me to you guys via this video and it's still one of my favorite videos from you guys. Even making it my personal measuring stick against some of your later stuff which usually are great anyways.
Benny the Comicstorian. It was through his videos that I became the large Green Lantern fan I am today; and while looking for music to play while reading many years ago I discovered this song and this band. I wear a GL ring everyday at work, and I never would’ve become the GL fan I am today, and might’ve never heard this great song that I love if it weren’t for him. His death is a bigger blow than I think anyone could’ve expected, and it brought me back here.
Home from work late, worn-out and ready for bed. But intead wound up re-reading this week's GREEN LANTERN (best comic out this week), with this song blasting through my head phones. Now i'm wide awake, recharged, with nothing left to do. Dammit.
How am I just now finding this! I need more like this. If only there was a Blue Lantern one too. But this is a BANGER!!! Cannot overstate how much this charges my soul
Thank you! There are 10 years of albums containing jams just like this for you to go explore wherever music can be streamed or purchased. Thank you!
Always play this when I'm GL in injustice 2 fighting superman
It shows you dont need superman, just a super man! 😊
Haha, man this is amazing. I was looking for a GLTAS soundtrack playlist to listen to while I read Green Lantern Annual 2, but I saw this. The song's amazing. Now I have it playing on repeat on in the background, while I continue to read. I gotta check out your other stuff, awesome work.
39 people are members of the sinestro corps
Hey I love the sinestro corps more then any of the others and I still liked the video
I'm not even a big Green Lantern fan, but something about the oath gets me. The justice/comic book lover in me I guess. Great song and I love the animation. Really up beat, could listen to this all night.
My mom would always play this for me when I was younger and in just re found it thanks for making my childhood
If a guy ever proposes to me with a Green Lantern Power Ring, I'd know right then and there: This is the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life fighting evil alongside.
Damn this is catchy.
still great after all these years. this video has more drama (and is much more watchable) than the GL movie!
You forgot to mention that the Silver Age Green Lantern made his first appearance in the comic title Showcase #22 (October 1959), so if anybody's ripping anybody off for story ideas, it's the one from 40 years later.
This has to be in the remake
For some unknown reason, this song came to my mind. I can't believe that it's been 7-8 years since I last heard this song. The nostalgia is unimaginable.
no matter how much time passes this is still a bagger
I really hope this is going to be in the movie. If not the movie makers are missing a chance for something epic. Great video and song guys
The girl that eats people is there, she targeting one of the band mates!
Epic.
The way the girl had the courage to cheer at the end feels like she's going to be a Sapphire Lantern
I'm living it..worst part is next to reaching 0% on emotion... Is fighting a Red Lantern... One tried to take my head a couple of times.
This is probably the greatest thing a GL fan like me has ever seen on TH-cam. Great work.
I've been waiting for this for so long my jaw fell open when i saw it and stayed that way through the whole video! Great job! Still loving this song, now and forever.
So I found this video by typing in Green Lantern Song. As much as I dislike Geoff John's new thing of the power rings having a number capacity instead of just charging once a day, this song hits my nerd center dead on. You guys are great, and I'll be digging into your stuff. Thanks a lot for this.
If they ever do a film reboot, this better be in the end credits!!!
The chorus is so clever and catchy. Volume!! to up..
My fellow Green lanterns join me in the oath!
"In brightest day"
ShadowJedi
In Blackest Night
Beware your fears made into light
Let those who try to stop what's right
Burn like his power
Sinestro's might.
ShadowJedi in blackest night
ShadowJedi No evil shall escape my sight
+ShadowJedi May all who worship evil's might
beware my power...
That oath tho
how am I just now hearing this... just bought on itunes...
i expected the beat drop... but on the power drop.. loved 83.2 as the dropout on the refill
this is an Anthem for Hal Jordan fans... thanks!
I got goosebumps at the oath part. Love the Lanterns, love this band!
I remember watching this years ago in my now accidentally deleted account. Miss those days.
Who else here keeps repeating the oath? i think it's just too awesome not to play back
The world needs more music like Kirby Krackle....
This song is what got me into Green Lantern. Thank you Kirby Krackle
in blackest day in brightest night
beware your fears turned in to light
let those who try to stop whats right
burn like my power sinestro's might
in fearful day in raging night
with strong hearts full our souls ignite
when all seems lost in the war of light
look to the stars for hope burns bright
for hearts long lost and full of fright
for those alone in blackest night
accept our ring and join our fight
love conquers all with violet light
with blood and rage of crimson red
ripped from a corpse so freshly dead
together with our hellish hate
we'll burn you all, that is your fate
tor lorek san, bor nakka mur
natromo faan tornek wat ur

whats mine is mine and mine and mine and mine and mine and mine.
not yours!
What up bros. I talked to you guys at the Cincinnati Comic-con back in September about Aquaman. Still waiting for the Aquaman song......
Now i want to send my dad a screenshot of that page in Green Lanterns where one of the original seven lanterns is incinerated by her ring being wildly overloaded by her willpower and say “this is why safety limits are a thing”
2017 and still watching this, somebody else?
Still watching in 2018
The man eater is in the crowd O.o
can see why the lead singer was chosen battered super hero gets blown thru the roof of the building he doesn't even stop singing
@TanaSilvers It refers to the energy level of the ring. The ring has limited energy resources and can be drained by excessive use.The ring itself informs its user about its current energy level in percentage ;)
I absolutely love this song, Green Lantern got me through a lot of really hard times and this song just hits me and really just gives me a lot of energy!
Will we be getting a how to play video for this in the future?
Harry Dresden Thank you, Harry! This song some continues to be a gateway for a lot of music fans to discover what I do and I’m happy you found it. :)
Yes, look for a “How To Play KK!” in the new future...
Until then, please feel free to check out my Patreon Fan Club at Patreon.com/kirbykrackle learn how you can receive new music every month!
Idk how I am just finding this but amazing job!
Love that song.
i'd question how a band has a Lantern but this is too good.
Awesome video, just as epic as Kirby Krackle itself! :D
fun fact, if you move the mp3 of the album version of this song, to your pc from the CD, or move it straight from the cd to an mp3 player, the song shows up as "Rig Capacity"
I'm pretty sure this was the first of your songs I had heard, and it remains a personal favorite.
Spotify picked this for me today -- Gave me a recharge. Thanks Kirby Krackle....
sooo awesome guys. I've been waiting for this one. and yeah, I also noticed the up, up, down, down girl.
@zune145 The numbers are the power level of Hal's ring during the fight with Sinestro. They go down as the fight goes on. Once he is almost out he goes to recharge the ring and the power levels go back up.
That's strate fire
Awesome job guys, glad there is finally a clip to go with the song that made me a Kracklehead
I have been searching for this some since I heard it 12 years ago❤️
Stoked you found it!
@@kirbykracklemusic thank you and your awesome ❤️
back in my early teens all over
One of my favorite songs
Very awesome. A fun song with great animation. Good work!
@zune145 They are percentages of power that the ring is at, I believe they are technically quoted as well from different specific fights in the comics.
Love the lyrics!!
Am impressed they even got the Green Lantern oath in! :)
You guys, next time you come to Australia, please come to Sydney? I saw Acoustic in Australia on your site and freaked cos I thought I'd missed you at Supanova.
the green lantern oath is just too damn good to not be used by a real organization
Nicely done!
THIS IS SO GOOD MAN
Now THAT is music!
how lucky for hal jordan to find a band of green lanterns with a spare ppower source all in the same sector(nerdgasm)
As a fan of The King, and GL,I,dig this!
I just got the blackest night power ring that lights up with a green lantern and a key for 42 bucks at six flags and just wearing the ring bright up in the dark makes you feel awsome ^^
Good for you guys! Geekin' out!
Gotta love the best of nerd rock. thanks for the fun son and great animation
This popped into my head yesterday out of nowhere after probably not having listened to it since it came out. But it has stuck with me! I love this so me so much.
Impressive and fun. Amazing I've never even heard of these guys until recently!
2:37-2:40 would look EPIC with quality CGI!
How I long for the days when Warner Bros. was willing to let every Rock, Pop and R&B artist make a lavish Batman music video... this masterpiece would have made a delicious "after the credits" treat.
This was the first song I had heard by the band, and it's the one that hooked me (I'm a huge GL fan). Loved the whole video story, great one! :)
So cool! Beware my power Green lantern's light!
They better use this song for the eventual reboot of the movie!
Insta added to favorites. I love it guys.
