People are draining, and I've never been able to trust anyone, but it's because I go into every relationship trusting them, only to find that they eventually break my trust, and I'm left licking wounds. I've also had Rahu period early in life, so I don't actually have high self esteem in myself or others. It just seems like everyone comes into my life looking for validation and help, gets them, and leaves ... so being by myself is much easier to handle. Maybe I'll figure out the "trust" thing, but maybe I won't. Frankly, either are fine at this point, since I see very little value in "others."
I lived with a person (flatmate) with Ketu in their 1st house (but also plenty of other planets there). My issue with them was that they were inflexibly who they were: this is me, deal with it. There comes a time, when you want more than just to adapt to the other person, or just accept what they serve to you. I don't know if this is a dynamic you can relate to, but maybe it can help. It was quite frustrating to me, because no matter in what way or how much I expressed disapproval of certain ways of doing (because it was harmful and irresponsible to them), there was absolutely no change, zero. So I left. I also noticed this person presented other people in their lives with fait accompli. And when these other people were fed up, they left. This person also attracted a lot of people who were clearly interested in the advantages being associated with them. When problems arose, no one was arround any more. But this was this persons' own doing, because they weren't willing to commit to other people. They just wanted someone to keep them company and do things together that they wanted to do. It's like people with Ketu in the 1st appear interesting in their self-sufficiency and you want to know them, but when you are together with them (friendship, relatioship), they won't really compromise.

It is only after giving up on that intense desire to be wanted, loved, and liked by others, that I have been able to come to peace with things, including being more self-sufficient, being confident of my decisions, and not being so sensitive to rejection by others. Your third paragraph doesn't make sense to me. It's true that those that come into my life have come seeking some sort of "advantage." I'd be committed to helping them expecting only companionship in return, and once they got their fill, or at the moment they decided my advice wasn't paying out, they left. And frankly, I never asked anyone to find me "interesting," to poke around for fun, then leave once they found me "uninteresting." Maybe I never found them interesting, but they didn't care about that; they just decided to project all kinds of desires onto me and left when they realized I was not that kind of a person. I mean, no one really asks me if I want them in my life.

Well, no, because they don't speak English. It's not a problem, just don't be too needy of relationships, something Karla Smiley is talking about in her answer to my post, and make sure both sides in a relationship agree to the decisions regarding both sides (no one should just deal with what the other side has decided for both - if it is something concerning both sides, both sides should come to an agreement). But as my astrologer (Sam Geppi) says, with Rahu-Ketu axis, we don't really want to listen to outside advice or opinions ... Rahu just wants to be free to experience and Ketu "knows everything" already. I guess that people who are born with lots of planets conjunct Ketu are here to perfect a lot of things, otherwise I don't know why they would be born with such a position. As I read in a decription of Ketu not so long ago: Ketu is refining the material to bring it to the spiritual. Ketu in its nature is not of this world, but once you put it in a house in an astrological chart, it has to deal with concrete things. It wants to express the essence of the thing indicated by its position, but in this material world all form is so limited that it can never express its full essence, hence the eternal dissatisfaction and criticism of Ketu. Apparently the solution is a detached improvement of the area indicated by Ketu. With Ketu in the 1st house I imagine it to be about what I am willing to do differently myself in order to have functioning relationships with other people. But I'm so used to being how I am and doing what I do ...
A lot of what I say in my answer to your post does seem to have to do with Ketu being in the 1st house with lots of planets (so focus on self is strong). I'd also say that maybe with Rahu in the 7th you are not seeing clearly in people who you are attracted to (at least when younger), so you attract people who are not really compatible with your personality. And no one is compatible with everyone, so your task seems to be to become more discerning with other people, but also to learn when it is the right time to adapt.
For me: Rahu in the 7th and ketu works out in a way that if I get affected negatively by something I really need to be on my own for months. I need to work through it. When it comes to relationships I want love very bad but, when I think I have it I get scared and don't want it anymore. I get so uncomfortable and weird. love has to be very, very organic so I don't even see it coming. Like a friend I've known for a while!

I have the same placements as you, the same story and the same age too. I wish you overcome and triumph this, with all the effort you put forward it has to be your final story! For me, I would consider it to be the biggest achievement of my life to just be able to have normal, steady inter-dependent, mutually loving, caring and lasting relationships. I am 32 now, started Rahu dasha at 18, still never even kissed anyone. I have been overweight most of my life, because like you said, I mostly just don't care. Despite that, I have had many people tell me i am beautiful, and have had some suitors, but nobody I liked enough to try a relationship with. I was neglected as a child, father was abusive. I never cared about children. Its the fact that we have to try so hard to please or fancy others when they should already be thankful we are in their presence. I have Ketu conjunct the Ascendant in Scorpio, and yes I had a horrible family, narcissist parents, I grew up with their bullying and abuse and it broke my spirit, I gave up on all my dreams and ambitions for myself, and basically I feel like a complete failure and a total waste of space. This year I turned 37 and I still do not want, and do not let, anyone into my personal life, and I prefer it that way... Lol are you… me? Only difference is that I’m in my 30’s and have a very short bandwidth for ppl. I love isolation. I literally get exhausted when I’m around people. It wasn’t always like this. I used to crave “sex in the city” type of friendships. I’m a bubbly person, however, friendships and relationships were impossible for me. Especially since I lived in NYC. In my teens & 20’s, I deeply desired relationships, but it always evaded me. Now, after one weird relationship, I’m very put off from relationships. And yet, I battle between wanting children and the only way I’m bringing kids into this world is via marriage. The beauty of it all is that now, I kinda expect it to be short lived so I shut it down at the first sign/2nd red flag. And I’m 2 steps away from living off the grid. OMG at 4:01 regarding the Dasha periods. If my ketu friends (esp on lagna) don’t know their dasha and sub-dasha periods, find out! I can personally attest that when my ketu sub-dasha started in 2016, it literally tuned everything in my life on its head. Wow! I’m at the end of my Ketu MD too, Mercury AD and I feel lost as well. However my Ketu MD wasn’t subtle at all.. I went through a few major depressions/rebirths but because of that this video is completely accurate. Because it helped with self knowledge in this MD etc. (I’m 28, at 29 I’m going into Venus md) Anyway I have a feeling the Venus MD will be sooo good to us and to me it feels like we’ll be able (if we go for it) to use our self knowledge and bring this out into the world and other people. The current Rahu/ Ketu transit runs through my 1st/7th house. Also going through Ketu-Saturn dasha. Definitely self-isolation, independence and some confusion are part of this transit. Also living and working in foreign country, more spirituality and not many close friendships and some family betrayals are there. But I think each transit has its challenges, at least for me :)
I have both ketu and saturn in the 1st house. Not only that. My first house is Libra. I’m now close to 40. Never been in any romantic relationship. Why? Because I don’t trust people. The 26 degrees of Gemini makes me a bit flighty in relationships but having Rahu in 7th house doesn’t help. Re the part not caring what you look like - I have Venus conjunct ketu in my ascendant and I do care what I look like in public, not always though and seemingly not as much as people seem to around me.

True. People are draining, and I've never been able to trust anyone, but it's because I go into every relationship trusting them, only to find that they eventually break my trust, and I'm left licking wounds. I've also had Rahu period early in life, so I don't actually have high self esteem in myself or others. It just seems like everyone comes into my life looking for validation and help, gets them, and leaves ... so being by myself is much easier to handle. Maybe I'll figure out the "trust" thing, but maybe I won't. Frankly, either are fine at this point, since I see very little value in "others."
I lived with a person (flatmate) with Ketu in their 1st house (but also plenty of other planets there). My issue with them was that they were inflexibly who they were: this is me, deal with it. There comes a time, when you want more than just to adapt to the other person, or just accept what they serve to you.
I don't know if this is a dynamic you can relate to, but maybe it can help.
It was quite frustrating to me, because no matter in what way or how much I expressed disapproval of certain ways of doing (because it was harmful and irresponsible to them), there was absolutely no change, zero. So I left. I also noticed this person presented other people in their lives with fait accompli. And when these other people were fed up, they left.
This person also attracted a lot of people who were clearly interested in the advantages being associated with them. When problems arose, no one was arround any more. But this was this persons' own doing, because they weren't willing to commit to other people. They just wanted someone to keep them company and do things together that they wanted to do.
It's like people with Ketu in the 1st appear interesting in their self-sufficiency and you want to know them, but when you are together with them (friendship, relatioship), they won't really compromise.

It is only after giving up on that intense desire to be wanted, loved, and liked by others, that I have been able to come to peace with things, including being more self-sufficient, being confident of my decisions, and not being so sensitive to rejection by others.
Your third paragraph doesn't make sense to me. It's true that those that come into my life have come seeking some sort of "advantage." I'd be committed to helping them expecting only companionship in return, and once they got their fill, or at the moment they decided my advice wasn't paying out, they left.
And frankly, I never asked anyone to find me "interesting," to poke around for fun, then leave once they found me "uninteresting." Maybe I never found them interesting, but they didn't care about that; they just decided to project all kinds of desires onto me and left when they realized I was not that kind of a person. I mean, no one really asks me if I want them in my life.

But as my astrologer (Sam Geppi) says, with Rahu-Ketu axis, we don't really want to listen to outside advice or opinions ... Rahu just wants to be free to experience and Ketu "knows everything" already.
I guess that people who are born with lots of planets conjunct Ketu are here to perfect a lot of things, otherwise I don't know why they would be born with such a position.
As I read in a decription of Ketu not so long ago: Ketu is refining the material to bring it to the spiritual. Ketu in its nature is not of this world, but once you put it in a house in an astrological chart, it has to deal with concrete things. It wants to express the essence of the thing indicated by its position, but in this material world all form is so limited that it can never express its full essence, hence the eternal dissatisfaction and criticism of Ketu.
Apparently the solution is a detached improvement of the area indicated by Ketu. With Ketu in the 1st house I imagine it to be about what I am willing to do differently myself in order to have functioning relationships with other people. But I'm so used to being how I am and doing what I do ...
A lot of what I say in my answer to your post does seem to have to do with Ketu being in the 1st house with lots of planets (so focus on self is strong).
I'd also say that maybe with Rahu in the 7th you are not seeing clearly in people who you are attracted to (at least when younger), so you attract people who are not really compatible with your personality. And no one is compatible with everyone, so your task seems to be to become more discerning with other people, but also to learn when it is the right time to adapt.
For me: Rahu in the 7th and ketu works out in a way that if I get affected negatively by something I really need to be on my own for months. I need to work through it. When it comes to relationships I want love very bad but, when I think I have it I get scared and don't want it anymore. I get so uncomfortable and weird. love has to be very, very organic so I don't even see it coming. Like a friend I've known for a while!

I have the same placements as you, the same story and the same age too. I wish you overcome and triumph this, with all the effort you put forward it has to be your final story! For me, I would consider it to be the biggest achievement of my life to just be able to have normal, steady inter-dependent, mutually loving, caring and lasting relationships. Still tumbling at every relationship hurdle no matter how much I study or work on them and how much I work on myself. It makes me feel weak sometimes just desiring normal relationships when most people seem to just have them. Probably especially soul aching as a libra ascendant, that’s what we’re supposed to be about.

This is so accurate! I want to get the practice of interacting with others and dating but I'm rarely given opportunities. When I do get the chance to talk to someone I get turned off quickly and go back into hermit mode. It sucks.
I am 32 now, started Rahu dasha at 18, still never even kissed anyone. I have been overweight most of my life, because like you said, I mostly just don't care. Despite that, I have had many people tell me i am beautiful, and have had some suitors, but nobody I liked enough to try a relationship with. I was neglected as a child, father was abusive.

Finally I got him but still life is not easy with this woman.

Its the fact that we have to try so hard to please or fancy others when they should already be thankful we are in their presence. We hold so much power and give it away to people who absorb whatever drop is left. Relationships do not mean much to us unless we feel true psychic connection in them. People can be spiritual all they want but if they still struggle on what life is and what its like to have a soul that knows what has to be done to progress everyone just look like sheeple to us. This is very interesting. I have Ketu conjunct the Ascendant in Scorpio, and yes I had a horrible family, narcissist parents, I grew up with their bullying and abuse and it broke my spirit, I gave up on all my dreams and ambitions for myself, and basically I feel like a complete failure and a total waste of space.
This year I turned 37 and I still do not want, and do not let, anyone into my personal life, and I prefer it that way... So it's very disappointing that apparently Rahu wants me to deal with people when from my experience people can be so deceiving, cruel, selfish and self-serving.

I moved out of my home country when I was 10 years old and had a very tough time fitting in, I was made fun of and bullied for my physical appearance, my dark skin colour and my hair texture by other kids. Lol are you… me? Only difference is that I’m in my 30’s and have a very short bandwidth for ppl. I love isolation. I literally get exhausted when I’m around people. It wasn’t always like this. I used to crave “sex in the city” type of friendships. I’m a bubbly person, however, friendships and relationships were impossible for me. Especially since I lived in NYC. In my teens & 20’s, I deeply desired relationships, but it always evaded me. Now, after one weird relationship, I’m very put off from relationships. And yet, I battle between wanting children and the only way I’m bringing kids into this world is via marriage. The beauty of it all is that now, I kinda expect it to be short lived so I shut it down at the first sign/2nd red flag. And I’m 2 steps away from living off the grid. Also I grew up in different countries around 9 yo. She’s pretty accurate.

OMG at 4:01 regarding the Dasha periods. If my ketu friends (esp on lagna) don’t know their dasha and sub-dasha periods, find out! I can personally attest that when my ketu sub-dasha started in 2016, it literally tuned everything in my life on its head. Not necessarily in a good or bad way, i was just never to be the same person!

Wow! I’m at the end of my Ketu MD too, Mercury AD and I feel lost as well. However my Ketu MD wasn’t subtle at all.. I went through a few major depressions/rebirths but because of that this video is completely accurate. Because it helped with self knowledge in this MD etc. (I’m 28, at 29 I’m going into Venus md)
Anyway I have a feeling the Venus MD will be sooo good to us and to me it feels like we’ll be able (if we go for it) to use our self knowledge and bring this out into the world and other people. To actually live out there and not in our own isolation all the time.

The current Rahu/ Ketu transit runs through my 1st/7th house. Also going through Ketu-Saturn dasha. Definitely self-isolation, independence and some confusion are part of this transit. Also living and working in foreign country, more spirituality and not many close friendships and some family betrayals are there. But I think each transit has its challenges, at least for me :)

I have both ketu and saturn in the 1st house. Not only that. My first house is Libra. I’m now close to 40. Never been in any romantic relationship. Why? Because I don’t trust people. Just the thought of having someone next to me long term while I sleep makes me nauseated. You are correct in saying that I value so much being by myself.
The 26 degrees of Gemini makes me a bit flighty in relationships but having Rahu in 7th house doesn’t help. Ketu in the first house was so correct for me, my challenge is dealing with people when I’m just so sure of myself. Like, who needs other people in large doses, they are annoying and too much work. I’ve found I have to work on my relationships more than others -I’m always dating someone new! Attracted to crazy and foreign people. And I seem to think that other peoples spouses are given to them with no real work involved. My soul knows what’s it’s doing though. 3 kids and an unwanted engagement by age 20, I’m 30 now and have learnt more than enough for this life! Travelling soon and hope to meet someone overseas :)

I have Venus Mercury Sun and Mars among with Rahu in the scorpio sign so 7 house is a most painful area in that incarnation ... very difficult childhood grew up without parents and as cancer moon I'm very sensitive and vulnerable. I do my own have a little bit different axis Ketu/Rahu in 2/8 libra/Aries, but I have a moon in Pisces revati 7 house (so the topic of relationships is really important for me too), and my BF has this axis in 1/7 in Scorpio/Taurus, and this is so accurate about long-distance relationships, different cultures, and an even soft heart than you because I’m too sensitive compare to him, I do really require careful attitudes to me.
