Josh Allen has most definitely proven week after week throughout the season that he's extremely deserving of winning the MVP this year. It's not without a real discussion about Lamar Jackson also being a dog this year as well BUT... I keep hearing sports media folks talking about Allen being in the same position as Embiid was yr before last getting his MVP instead of Joker winning his 3rd consecutive award. Embiid was pretty good that yr and could hold a little bit of a conversation and Allen is an emphatic absolutely from most people and Jackson is the one in Embiid position or that argument!!! In my opinion that's what I think between the 2 and I'm definitely not a Buffalo nor a Baltimore fan, actually a diehard SAINTS FANATIC even with the sad state we're currently in these days!!!!😮😅😊

Purdy has had a lot more success than many of the other qbs that signed huge contracts.
Though I don’t think almost any qb is worth what the going rate is because it hampers the cap space and ability to build a team around them.
The next cba should include cap percentage limits on positions to prevent contracts from getting out of hand.

The argument for Lamar it’s stupid. It’s just stats. No quality wins. Losses against KC, Philly, and couldn’t score a td against pitt. The win against Buffalo is at home on SNF when Buffalo has half a team. He has an MVP candidate IN HIS BACKFIELD. I’m supposed to believe that Lamar is so extra super special mvp that he outweighs the other mvp candidates when he has another one on his team? It’s nonsense.
Maybe it’s more likely that his statistical uptick has something to do with a hall of famer returning to form on his team and he now gets to throw at 8 man fronts. I can’t believe how stupid media are sometimes.

To your point, in that Buffalo game, not only was Buffalo injuried on the offensive end, but Henry ran for 200 while Cook ran for 39. Allen had 180 passing yards, Lamar 156. No Lamar fans like to bring up those stats though, as they aren't expedient. All of the sudden the win is the only thing that matters. But then when you point out that Allen is 11-3 with an inferior cast to Lamar's, who is 9-5, all of the sudden it is only stats to make the argument. But, only the stats they deem important. Even though Allen leads in advanced metrics, has a better QBR, EPA, 37 tds just like Lamar having only 7 turnovers to Lamar's 8. The gymnastics are actually quite fun to watch, until you realize that they actually serious.

    • @TrillVilla5
      @TrillVilla5 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

Lamar surpassed Lamar stats from last season a month ago... Lamar was in a race against the guys in San Francisco until the last couple of games in the season when Baltimore shut them out. Josh Allen led the league in turnovers and wasn't a legit contender in the MVP race because he just happened to throw more passes. Lamar didn't have the best stats but he beat the other MVP candidates. The Chiefs defense is what has carried that team this season, so beating them wasn't a big deal in context and only outscoring a Detroit defense with a dozen players on IR isn't impressive. Even though the Giants is one of the worst teams, the only allowed 20 ppg and Lamar threw 5 TDs and 4 incompletions. Dropped 2 TDs in the blowout win against Buffalo. If Baltimore losing to Raiders and Browns make them a bad team, then Buffalo losing to Baltimore...what does that make them? Baltimore also leads the NFL in penalties and has had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL this
league...how does that not make Lamar MORE valuable to his team?

When your team finds success, by making others more prominent in your offense. When you lead the league in ints. The same way Winston had 30 tds and 5000 yards, but was disregarded due to his ints. Yes, Lamar has mid volume stats last season. He also was top 5 in rating and adjusted qbr. Had the best record against winning teams in 40 years. Had the best record in football. The issue with the Chiefs and the referees is a complicated one. Good teams get more calls, this is true across different sports even, different leagues, etc. etc. So some of it is just part of the built-in advantage of being a good team. Then there's of course the constant complaining by players and coaches, especially Mahomes himself, which is known to work, Belichik did it forever too.
Different referees have different tendencies and teams are fully aware of those tendencies and adjust their playstyle for specific games. The Chiefs, especially on the offensive line, do this to a greater extend and more systematically, they have for years, even pre-Mahomes. This is not something the referees do on purpose, the Chiefs just do a "better" job at exploiting it. Andy Reid has lost with grace for more than 15 years, he just got tired of that. The NFL could shut down much of that and maybe they'll do in the offseason, but it's mostly a sin of omission and not something they actively do.

Josh Allen has a better qbr as well

  • @STEALTTH7
    @STEALTTH7 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

So Allen was statistically better than Lamar last year. He led the NFL in Total TD, Total Yards, was 3rd in QBR over Jackson and accounted for 86% of his teams scores. Lamar wasn't even close at around 52%. Allen should have been MVP last year. He also won the last 6 games to steal the division and 2 seed. Josh is playing for a 1 seed this year. Lamar isn't even winning his division. And I will point out that Allen has ALWAYS been in the MVP conversation. Lamar dropped out and Barkley was the next challenger, and now back to Lamar. Allen has been there all year.
Josh is leading the NFL in QBR.
He's leading the NFL in total TD.
He leads the NFL in EPA per play.
He leads the NFL in EPA per play in the 4th quarter.
The Bills were supposed to take a step back this year and lose the division and miss the playoffs. But Allen is elevating everyone around him He's thrown TD to 11 different receivers. He injured his wrist, had substantial players out and still has gotten it done. He just led the Bills to 8 straight games of 30+ points. Only other teams to do that were Brady, Manning, and Warner teams...they won MVP.
He's the only one to beat the Chiefs. (add MVP moment on the 4th and 2)
Then he went and set records in the SF game (with another MVP moment)
Then he made history in the LA game with his 6TD game.
Then he beat the best NFC team in their house.
He's setting records every week. If he gets 3 more TD in the next 3 weeks, he would be the first player to ever produce 5 consecutive seasons of 40+TD. He's the current record owner at 4 seasons.
If that's not good enough, here are some other things records that he's put his name on this season (which are more historical for the most part, but they certainly don't hurt)
Surpassed Cam Newtons record of games with multi passing TD and a rushing TD
Tied the record for Games to 250TD with Mahomes.
Surpassed Steve Young with the most games of 2 passing and 2 rushing TD
Became the first player in NFL history to record multiple pass touchdowns, multiple rush touchdowns, 350+ passing yards & 60+ rushing yards in the same game (including playoffs)
    1. Second player in NFL history with 12+ passing touchdowns and zero interceptions in team's first seven games
    2. Second-most touchdown passes in Bills history
    3. Most total touchdowns in Bills history
    4. Most games with two touchdown passes and two touchdown runs in NFL history (five)
    5. Second quarterback with consecutive seasons of 10+ rushing touchdowns
    6. Second all-time in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback
    7. Second all-time in rushing touchdowns in Bills history (one behind Thurman Thomas at time of writing)
    8. First player in history with multiple passing touchdowns, multiple rushing touchdowns, 350 yards passing, and 60 yards rushing in the same game
    9. First player with two touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns in consecutive games
    10. First player to have three games with 2+ passing and 2+ rushing touchdowns in the same season
    11. Tied with Patrick Mahomes for second-most regular season wins by a quarterback in their first seven seasons.
    12. Only QB player in NFL history to score more than 50 points in a fantasy week.
    13. Only player in NFL history to score 90 fantasy points in 2 weeks.
The highlight reels tell you everything you need to know about his body of work....nobody does all the things he does and as well as he does them.
People need to stop looking for reasons why he isn't the MVP. He has been the most productive player in the NFL since 2020 and it's time to give the man his flowers.

What about those God awful losses to Cleveland and The Raiders? He lost to a team that didn't have to score any TD's and got steamrolled by Philly. Let's not do this lol.

Last year over 1,000 yards more and 15 more TDs. What kind of mvp is that far behind someone else? 😂

@@jakethethird1584 And those are worse than getting blown out by Baltimore and only completing 9-30? “God awful is a huge over-reaction since neither loss was by more than 7 points.

Lamar is having his best statistical season and he's won 2 MVPs. Josh Allen is having an amazing season but I don't think we should just not give someone an award because they won it before.

People had the Bills barely making the playoffs if not missing when the Ravens signed Henry the narrative was they would win the AFC.

It's a lot more nuanced than that. Also, Josh had a better season statistically than Lamar last season when he did get it, so that argument just doesn't fly.
