f = forward, d = down, u = up, b = back, 1 = square, 2 = triangle, 3 = ex, 4 = circle ....... qc = quarter circle (e.g qcf+1 = quarter circle forward + square which is hadouken) .. qcb = quarter circle back .. CH = counter hit .. b! = Bound
Damn.. steve is pretty complicated, even his combos. Many of his combos require CH to launch. I'm trying to write them out and practice them later, but even the inputs etc looks troublesome to do/learn.
IMO to me he's just out of top 10. Nerfed but hell, a good steve is one of the scariest characters to fight against. Steve is already hard, so the chance of finding a gimmicky steve is rare, and when you get a dedicated one, it's tough. I mean, just look at Nin lol.
no matter how much i try the ws 1+2,b wildman combo (rising) i can't do that smoothly, theres always like a lag, and i do it to fast, he either hits low or does a duck and left body blow. Is there some sort of way to press the button to make the timing match? (e.g like jins EWHF etc)
Yeah duck canceling into WS+1,2 B! is really for beginnners. Plus these are staples for steve, if you want max damage and combos that will only work on specific characters go right on ahead. I'll stick to making videos that have actual staples that are practical for all characters. Oh and I get my information from Tekken Zaibatsu, and some of these are categorized as hard execution.
Question: I just played against this really cheap Steve player who, everytime, would do this low punch sweep that would make me lose balance and fall. Then he would do this over head punch as I'm getting up, rinse and repeat. When I learned not to get up from that, he started doing that low sweep punch which is literally undodgable on the ground and I can never get up from that. Any suggestions?
That staggering crushing blow I'm guessing is his d+2 from his Peekaboo stance, its called Knuckle Plow and it should be easy to block if not parry because it has a relatively slow animation compared to most lows. If he clips you with it during a counter hit there's not much you can do to avoid the combo but if he hits you without a counter you can punish it or gaurd his next attack easy.
I think you're talking about Steve's d/b+2 and his ff+2. weakness of d/b+2 is you either low crush with a hop kick, low parry, or low block then punish. weakness of ff+2 is either a block then punish or a good timing sidestep then punish. If you're in OKI, don't get up if you're expecting that ff+2, most intermediate Steve players will do ff+2 when you get up to just deliver pressure or get a easy bound. Just wait for that ff+2 and use a get-up kick as punish. :)
No, the reason I do it is because it's much easier than having to go into the menu and select Counterhit on, and after doing the combo, go and turn counter hit off.
I not very good with a lot of characters because they have way to many stances that confuse the hell out of me. My only good characters are Asuka and Jun Kazama P.s can someone help me get better
Steve is a character i've been wanting to main with devil jin. Steve's moves are pretty damm hard lol Nin makes it look easy & knee does aswell lol great stuff! i'll be watching out for more vids :)
***** I don't think he did, In fighting games it's about who you like honestly. Steve does have some execution and needs to do a little more work than others. But really there's no real entry level characters like SF's Shotos. I mean there's Leo, Jin, and Lars. But I never started with them, I played Bryan when I started playing Tekken again in T6 so.
.Honestly yeah its hard. But just try doing it outside of the.combo first. Then try it in the combo once you get the timing. How i do it is once i go into flk. I immediately tap f+3 and hold db
Man that ws+1,2 b! is so hard to get down. Been trying it since Tekken 6. It's the only thing stopping me from learining Steve properly. Same goes for Lee's wall carrying b+2~f :( :(
WS 1+2 is very very very good followed by f+2, 1, and the rest up to you like Tag or Solo depend, maybe add anti rolling moves , these moves make the one who is rolling go upside in the air! like f+2, 1 and again combo!! a lot of characters do them on nice timing which will earn you a free juggle!!! started to use it and wow
Sorry but no, you can't. These are his solo staples that work on all chracters and are the most consistent. Don't believe me? Go check Tekken Zaibatsu you will see these exact combos in their combo threads. Yes he can do more if the character is big, but then it's not a staple simply because it won't work on Xiaoyu or any small.
seriously Nin scares me O_O. and yeah the most I've ever seen for a gimmicky player was this loser who kept on doing 1,2,3, low 4. and using Steves sidesteps. Wasn't hard to beat honestly. But yeah a good steve can be scary.
f = forward, d = down, u = up, b = back, 1 = square, 2 = triangle, 3 = ex, 4 = circle ....... qc = quarter circle (e.g qcf+1 = quarter circle forward + square which is hadouken) .. qcb = quarter circle back .. CH = counter hit .. b! = Bound
One of the hardest people to learn
Along with Lee, yeah.
Damn.. steve is pretty complicated, even his combos.
Many of his combos require CH to launch.

I'd say these are the best combos a Steve can come up with.
IMO to me he's just out of top 10. Nerfed but hell, a good steve is one of the scariest characters to fight against. Steve is already hard, so the chance of finding a gimmicky steve is rare, and when you get a dedicated one, it's tough. I mean, just look at Nin lol.
PAB = Pek-A-Boo
when he puts his hands in front of his face and ducks a little.

Mainly because I focus on the character's main launchers, and usually in the case of CH df+1,2~1 you can get one of these staples to work for it.
FLK is the stance he goes into when holding back after certain moves. like df+1,2,1~b and b+1, so does f+2,1~b
And if you're talking about Tag combos, these are solo staples. i have a separate series for Tag Assault breakdowns.

Great, i've seen all these tag combos but i couldn't find anything solo related for Steve in TTT2. Thanks!
how does steve do that move? when he does f+2,1 then, ~B~f+3?

either stay on the ground eat the hit then recover, or if you know he's going to do it quickstand and block low.
HurtboxTV
Okay thanks.

+TheSonicfanx1 Just low parry. Anticipate the attack.

Ok for ff 2 and db 2...but what can i do against db 2 on wall or, worse case, corner? Expecially online?
Last thing, at walls you can also do DCK 2, FLKR b2 d{2,1}2, 3,1,1 , df/1+2. DCK 2 qcf1B FLKR b1, 3,1,1, df/1+2 are other combos.
That wild man move is killing my fingers...i'm doing db when i cancel his f+3 n the 12 just wouldn't come out... i'm pressing the shit out of it
duck cancel one of the hardest shit to do
At first yeah... it seems impossible to be duck cancelling but after a lil while u get use to it
He gets easier as you play him trust me the results are crazy
it means slide the input. like hit it the next button right after the first one.
My fave char since T5. This guy is cool & awesome.
He is.. steve is the main reason I came back to tekken after some years
I main him and claudio and hwoarang are my second in 7
I not very good with a lot of characters because they have way to many stances that confuse the hell out of me. My only good characters are Asuka and Jun Kazama
P.s can someone help me get better
Ayy Lmao Xbox one
This deserves a lot more views !
Steve, Hwoarang, and baek are pretty difficult -_-
Steve is a character i've been wanting to main with devil jin. Steve's moves are pretty damm hard lol Nin makes it look easy & knee does aswell lol great stuff! i'll be watching out for more vids :)
Just starting tekken, coming from smash bros
what have I done to mysel
sereiosley is it that hard? i already done it dont see where is the hard part
I wouldn't say top, he's around the middle of high Tier I would say. but still difficult to use properly.
I need Xbox one button I don't understand these letters
Jumpman Jenkins noob
@@cucuy98 Common man help me.
I would just want to make a suggestion for a wall combo.... Qcf 1, back dash, 311, f21~b~db, ws 12, 311 that i think is one of he's best wall combo
Fantastic! I was just planning on using Steve :D
Damn, these are the hardest combos ive ever tried
So basically another dash, after FLK. Sound easier now I think about that way. Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
mokojin now can make himself like devil jin cool. in tekken 6 he couldn't because he did not have wings.
I keep missing Steve his ws1, 2 from duck, that shit is so annoyingly difficult
didn't see any combos off of CH d/f 1,2~1 which i actually get a lot playing online
Is charging during a match a normal thing?
Also for the combo at 3:33, I would have preferred it if you did his SUPER Dck 3 because it can do more damage.
Do you have a place where I can learn to read df and 1 and shizz cuz' I don't get shit xD
what does "~" mean?
i dont know why you don't do extended 3,1 after CH B+1.... its just free damage...
What does PAB mean?
Steves Peekaboo stance
Travis Clarke k thanks :D
I found another wall combo ender, after B!, f+ 2, 1 SWY 1.
im new to this game so can someone help me with the abbreviations, please?
1:(left punch) 2:(right punch) 3 (left kick) 4 (right kick). F:( forward)U: (up) D: (down) B: (back).

Alguem por favor saber esses botoes para xbox 360 seria de grande ajudar
what is ws 1,2
Ali Anwer +w,s 1,2 = while standing 1 (Square/X) , 2 (X/A)
well yeah, he's a counter hit fisher.
can i use these in tekken 7??
help probably man most characters combos have been the same since tekken 5
thanks :)
Nope. In Tekken 7 you use screw moves instead of bound.
Thanks a lot bro! been waiting
I just threw my controller at the wall I dont see how u do it
u should do the tutorial video on BR.
A tier isn't top tier S is top tier, and A+ is high tier. Steve is A tier so he's just above mid tier.
WS 1+2 is very very very good followed by f+2, 1, and the rest up to you like Tag or Solo depend,

im wanna try steve, but i dont know what FLK is. can anyone tell me? thumbs p to the video!
"Where Springs not Fail," Leixia's theme from SoulCalibur V
yeah just search TekkenZaibatsu (dot) com (/) wiki (/) glossary it explains all the notation.
Nice dude, thanks.
Using this character with Hworang atm :D really rocks!!!

It's sad he doesn't do more damage I get fucked online playing as Steve... Unless I play with a partner... All his heavy damage comes from counters
If it is still to hard then ff+2 and his other combos arent nearly as hard
Appreciate it thanks.
damn steves hard to use
Why do u think so?
man these dudes r just haters but great fucking video bro sick combos can you tell me how i can duck cancel in ws+1,2 B
practice makes perfect, i guess
you can do much more with steve than what this video shows. disappointed.
lol keep dreaming
