- I take a universal intake manifold that I bought off eBay and find out that it basically doesn’t work at all. Can I make this thing useable or is it trash? It will take a lot of aluminum ac tig welding and fabrication to make it work.
Looking good dude. I need to learn TIG. That car is going to be a heartbreaker. Can't wait to hear it run. You are motivating me to get my MS3X project going this winter.
Ross Machine throttle fits these intakes and comes with a throttle cable bracket
You can hook a cable directly up to the throttle pedal. I believe you cut the ball off and then drill it for the clevis on the cable. You can get universal cables that you can cut to fit also. (edit)Guess I should watch the whole video. Good job.
Nice work!
What was the knock module from? Seems to me that it was a C4 corvette? I need to find something to monitor knock with my Nistune setup. Nissan knock control was very basic and has zero PID inputs to the ECU.
Yes, it is the corvette module. It works well. Using it with the stock Toyota sensor is a bit experimental, but I’ve confirmed it can work. Idk if you’re megasquirt but the set up is very easy and there is tons of adjustment as far as how the module responds to knock input.
@@masterofmachines thanks man, I’m currently using Nistune installed on an ‘89 300zx turbo ECU. Knock monitoring is essentially nonexistent. I wonder if there is a way to connect the output of the module to an LED of some sort. I know it was done back in the day on turbo Buicks but there is very little documentation in beyond, “it’s been done”.
