Thanks again, Matt, for covering all the little things that make the Haslab pack worth it! Also, a tutorial on how to change out the stock split loom with a real one would be great! I plan on converting my Haslab pack to an 84', so that would be a big help.
I think the problem results from being placed in the stand with the Alice pack connected. I think it is delicate in the connection and should be displayed on the wall. The hose doesn’t fit in the stand groove. Which causes the problem.
I wasn’t having issues with the hose. With mine I’ve noticed there are 4 gold connectors on the rim on the cyclotron cover and the pack it’s self and when the bumper is fully tightened the cover is still slightly loose and not completely flushed with the pack, causing the power to lose connectivity. It’s easy fixed with a washer but still feel like that shouldn’t be an issue with a $400 product unless they just forgot to put a washer on mine. With a washer, it seems to have fixed the issue so whoever reads this, hopefully you’re able to get your issue resolved.
I have this weird issue. When I Fire up the wand, on the 3rd switch it powers down the pack. 😞 Been trying to find a solution for this. Help me GB enthusiast you are my only hope
That’s the first I’ve heard of this one. Have you tightened your loom connections on each end and made sure the cyclotron lid is snug against the shell?
@The Proton Pack Is Not A Toy I did tighten both ends. I haven't use the electric tape trick though. Will try that tonight. Also I read on Facebook someone had this same issue as me. Apparently he too aluminium or tin foil and roll it into a ball and stuff the connector holes on the wand side and pack side. And some are also saying it could be a battery issue. Some are saying I need to pick up Duracell batts. Will try that as well. Hopefully it's all good
@@Dented_Battle_Armor I know i might be late! But for me it was the battery issue, i just change the battery's on my proton pack and that seems to fix the problem
I do the aluminum foil trick because my issues is the pins are not contacting fully. No issues now. Seems silly but I can expect a $400 Proton Pack toy to be perfect. Honestly will not have pack displayed all the time with wand so this little fix is fine for me.
My pack turns off when I turn on the activate button or press the intensity button. I have unplugged both ends of the hose to make sure the connection is on tight. No luck. I’m getting frustrated and have not heard back from hasbro. Has anyone found any other solutions?

I just got the issue today, emailed hasbro for rush replacement for c2e2 this weekend
I have noticed that there is a 30 second time frame of non activity with the wand and the wand will shut off which will shut off the pack

Nice! I hadn't even thought to look at the cyclotron contacts... snugging that up did the trick for me as well. Thanks!
FIRST....
Also, I think it's time for a longform analysis of the ribbon cable from movie to movie!
I just subscribed to Andy before I saw this, crazy

This just started happening to me too.🙁

Good to know!
Sigh… why didn’t I get one of these when they were available.

Hasbro got back to me and said they are aware and are investigating this issue. They said they will be reaching out soon for remedies
🤞

Thank you. This literally was the issue. Crazy!!!
Mine broke at the wand end that screws in to the thrower.
The hose is too stiff.
What about when the electric tape thing doesn't work?
What didn’t work?
@@TheProtonPackIsNotAToy Putting electrical tape on the hose connection didn't keep my wand from disconnecting/shorting out.
I noticed after my pack has been off for some time I can’t turn on the pack by switching on the wand. Is that normal or is that a connection issue?
I think that’s normal.
That's intentional. The wand automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Matt, what colour gray is correct for the hose?
Black?
@@TheProtonPackIsNotAToy ohh I’ve seen people spraying the start part of the hose grey?
The connector? Or the gas mask hose? Check the packs on www.theghostbustersreferencelibrary.com/ghostbusters-afterlife/phoebe-hero-2
@@TheProtonPackIsNotAToy ahh I see it’s like army green on those pictures. I have seen a few on here painting it a military grey?
Is it bad if one of the screws to hold the back for the proton pack
Really shouldn't be these issues in the first place though.
