Camerata Pacifica is a chamber music ensemble based in Santa Barbara that performs a monthly series of concerts in Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Marino, and Zipper Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. Founded by Adrian Spence in 1990, the group is composed of the finest performers of chamber music from around the world. The ensemble is distinctive for artistic excellence, an innovative approach to classical music and a repertoire that ranges from baroque to brand new, from familiar masterworks to works that have yet to become favorites.

I was in this audience, and am delighted to relive the experience through this video. I'm especially impressed with the quality of the videography: its high resolution, deft camera work, and, yes, postproduction editing, of which there was a great deal, in spite of the disclaimer that it was "unedited". This was a multicamera take with frequent, and exquisitely tasteful cross-cutting to illuminate the intimate details as well as the overall ensemble playing. As an amateur videographer of performances, as well as an amateur chamber music player, I can attest that this is the finest videography of a chamber performance I've seen, and look forward to more. Mr. Maas deserves top billing along with Brahms and the Camerata Pacifica!
