Also, to be clear, at 4:09, are you synchronizing all the features from the JPEG that has been developped or only the ones in dark? For example are ''Noise Reduction'' and "Graduated filters'' being synced as well?

I like the video, it's very informative. I have only one problem with ALL these Lightroom videos though. ALL start with the video already imported for the editing. I have not been able to find one that shows how to import the videos and edit from there.

Do you know how to add a watermark to video in lightroom? It gives the option in slideshow but I cant seem to export?
why is 4K video playback so choppy in lightroom?? i'm on a souped up 2015 MacBook pro. the files play fine in Finder, the native Photos app, etc, but in lightroom video playback is soooo choppy, even with GPU acceleration turned on, and using an SSD. sometimes after playing a video, the entire lightroom app will become unresponsive and super laggy as well. anyone else experiencing this?

I tried this technique with a 2.7K video clip that I shot with my drone at 60p. It seems to be that you can't export a video clip in 2.7K or 4K. All you have is 1920x1080 30p. Am I right?
When I make the Capture Frame selection, the still image does not appear in my filmstrip. I get a 1 of 2 show up on thhe3 single image. When I check the folder on my computer, there is a new jpg file showing up but it shows as already imported. How do I separate this new jog image out so I cam process it and sync the processed image to the rest of the video? This is a time-lapse video in the avi format.
Make sure that the videos you imported into Lightroom are in a designated collection. It won't work if you haven't added them to a collection.

Drag and drop to move files doesn't seem to work for videos. Instead, as shown in this tutorial, it scrubs the video under the cursor. So how can videos be moved to a different folder in Lightroom?

I can create the image for editing @ 2:55+ ( Capture Frame) but I cannot SEE the image I captured. I can however, see the box that says 1of2 so I know its there. What am I doing wrong?
Found from another board, not mine.
In Library module, right click the black bar just above the film strip. Choose "All Photographs". You will then find all of your captured frames in the film strip along with any other images from that folder. You may need to resort your photos so they are in order to your preference.
Please help. Whenever I "Capture Frame", I don't see a jpeg. There's a small number 2 on the file. I can right click on the file and select "Unstack" and the number goes away. The jpeg appears in my folder, but not in Lightroom. I have tried everything, even "Expand All Stacks" and nothing works. I still don't see a jpeg next to the video, but the jpeg does appear in the folder the files are located in. What am I doing wrong?

This was my first instinct, but when I unstacked them, the number 2 disappeared, and the 'capture' didn't show up in the tray.

HI! This was very helpful but what is driving me nuts is, when I capture frame, it does NOT end up as a single image next to my video. I've done it about 20 times.

it ads a image but just check to expand by clicking on number on thumbnail on down left, you can see number increasing when capturing frame
okay to view, you open the folder ( within lightroom ) where the video is at, then you'll see the video in the library with the stacked frame number on the top left of the poster frame. Essentially on that same box you can drag the video to the right to expand it.

true. professional options. Like Prores 4444 and so on and so on. Anyway i edit my videos in Lightroom instead of Premiere...
may I ask: after you've edited in Lr (say applied a Preset) can you continue to work on the vid in another vid editing program, & the edits from Lr are preserved?
There are limitations with the editing of video: the adjustment types, which are shown grayed-out at 4:09 in the "Synchronize Settings" dialogue, are NOT synchronized, so not applied to the target video. Therefore important adjustments like highlights, shadows or clarity unfortunately won't work for videos.
I would imagine if you had raw video files they might? or is this just a limitation of the program that they intend to fix?
Help, when I click cpature frame it goes into a stack and I can't unstack it to do the work in the development module. What do I need to do to stop it from stacking and just come next to the video as a frame?
i have the same problem. my still frames also won't sync to my video.
Make sure you have all photographs selected in your catalogue menu (Sidebar on the left) - then they shouldn't be stacked - if they are just right click expand

RESOLVED: you have to click "All Photographs" from the "catalogs" dropdown menu on the left then the photos will not stack.
Importing Prores 4444 (10 sec) movie, capturing a frame and Lightroom gives an error...
Can’t seem to get the individual image to edit. Only wants to stack it but I can’t unstuck it? Any ideas. Cheers

What if you can't important video? I am running a Mac with HighSierra and the latest version of Lightroom and I get a Dynamic link error when I try to import a video? Anyone have an suggestions?
I have the same problem when trying to import any video more than a few minutes. The computer heats up and it takes a very long time to import any video clip. Eventually it'll import some of them but inevitably some will fail. Some of them will import but Lightroom says it can't read the file. The ones that can't be read I tell LR to remove but not delete. Then I go back and tell LR to synchronize the folder and it finds and can read the file. The ones that don't get imported I will try again, sometimes several times. Eventually LR gets them all but it's a pain to have to go to such lengths! I hope in the future the company the is supposed to be top in the photography software field will recognize and deal with this problem! I know it's been 2 years since you asked the question. I hope you've found a good solution in that time.
I have Lightroom CC 2015, Apple Quick Time Player on Windows 10. my videos do not play in Lightroom CC 2015 even with most recent updates. they play in Adobe Photoshop CC 2015. They played in in Lightroom CC 2015 n Windows 7. Adobe doesn't seem to care about it or don't know why? they gave me no answers.

Try right-clicking then click "go to folder library" It will show up like how it showed up mine.
If the frame doesn't split automatically, right click it then choose the split option. then choose the all photograph option to see your new frame

[NEED HELP] I captured a frame of my video and there is no "photo" copy next to my video. It just layers on top and says "1 of 2". I am not able to select the photo and start the process. Anybody know?

Yeah, this is not working at all for me. When I click Sync and go back to the Library, no changes whatsoever appear in my video. This would be very cool if it actually worked! If anyone has any ideas on how to make it work I'd be grateful. Perhaps there's some setting in the Preferences or something? Confused.
try using "Sync Settings" and not "Sync" itself

Did not work. I got a number on my video, like it made a photo but its not selectable. Why make it so hard to edit a video? Isnt that the purpose when importing a video??
