Damn, all these critics hating on this film. I actually really liked it a lot for its atmosphere, though it's definitely not a perfect movie. It could definitely be cut down by like 30 minutes. But, I really think this film will be highly appreciated many years from now after it grows a cult fanbase. People will watch it on DVD and like it more that way.
Once they said that the doctor's character wanted to impregnate his daughter, I immediately agreed with Corey's earlier statement about it being a resident evil game. Lol.
I cant believe they didnt mention the awesome detail at the end. dehaan had some pulled theeth over the second half of the movie and as both leave in the final shot hes laughing but i almost didnt notice because he had ALL teeth back. and that was amazing cause i couldnt figure out now if he really has been insane and just dreamed some of that stuff that might just happened or whatever.... i really really enjoyed this movie and was never really bored. and as a swiss, i really apprechiated the swiss money and francs (coins)in the movie ^^. this movie had me on the edge of my seat all the time and felt like a silent hill game. would be a full price for me. cause the reveal was forseeable but still good,althou i too didnt like the silly monster face dude but was acceptable. and it felt like a classic back in the days.
That ending was terrible. I don't know where they got the idea of a man whose immortal because he rapes the women in his family. That one came from someone who's watched too much porn or read too much BS from 1300's England. The shit before that... It wasn't bad. The atmosphere was great, the story was decent up til the end. But, it was a tense.. For the most part.
