  • Hallo,
    Hello,
    With this video I have largely completed the welding work on the body :-)
    I don't know yet whether I'll still install the hood seal strip.
    Otherwise, the pipe for the front hood cable should be welded after the first priming.
    I hope you have as much fun as I did with the video. See you soon .

    Your attention to detail is over the top! It shows absolute dedication to your craft! Very impressive work with simple hand tools and a Mig welder &grinder replicating complex patch panels returning that old Bug to its original form takes time and skill, as well as an intelligent thought process 👍

      Thank you very much, you know how much work and time the whole thing takes. In addition, most of the thoughts and time go into videography. Thanks for your comment 🤙🏻

    I had a 57 oval back in the 80s. I was too poor to do anything with it, so i sold it. The guy who bought it, turned it into a Baja Bug. I was sad to sell it and regretted my decision ever since. But, your channel gives me hope! One day, I'll own a split or oval window once again! Even if it was modified to be a Baja, your channel gives me hope for a proper restoration! Great work you do!

      Thank you, it's sad but maybe it just wasn't the right time. I also had to get older and more experienced. In addition to the Ovali, I had already fallen in love with the VW T1 Transporter 20 years ago but I didn't have the money or the time (sometimes other things are more important). I had finished with it and was sure that I would never be able to own a VW T1. Now 2 years ago I was offered a T1 forest find from Finland and I was very skeptical at first. The pictures weren't exactly outstanding but the price was somewhat attractive. However, I hesitated but kept looking at the pictures. Because I didn't have any more pictures and the car was 2000km away. I finally said no and offered to ask someone else, so to broker the car further. When the floor was almost up, the buyer canceled through me and everything was back to the beginning of the negotiations. I looked at the pictures of the van for the umpteenth time and again and again and made a deep offer to the seller. I didn't think he would say yes. But I now had a German-made VW T1 from 1962. Oh well, what do you mean I had to transfer money abroad (i.e. advance payment) wasn't that convenient for me either (maybe that's why the first buyer canceled.) but I had already done a deal with the seller before and was hoping for the best.
      1 month later the car was on my doorstep and it turned out that the condition was better than expected from the photos.
      As the saying goes, “It turns out differently than you think.”
      Thanks again for your nice comment. Sometimes I doubt what I'm doing here and then a comment comes that tells me: You have to keep this channel going! You don't know it, but you helped me a lot today. Kind regards from Germany, Mark

    well done video, filiming, editing and also the work on the Kafer. I have a sunroof oval, built in Sept 1956, but stripped of many of the expensive parts. I think it has the original floors since it came from California....we'll see once we get to it, but this channel is showing me how to fix it properly!

      Thank you very much. Your or comments like this keep my channel alive because it always mutivates me a bit. My channel should express exactly what you wrote. Fun to watch, joy and maybe learn a little. It's not always easy to keep going because I would be much faster without a camera. Then I think again, it's fun to see the details afterwards on camera and the memory won't fade. Warm greetings from Germany

    Gostaria tanto de encontrar um anjo que me apadrinhasse meu projeto de restaurador de estampagem de peças de veículos antigos!...

    • @myovalsplit
      @myovalsplit  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Existem muitos fabricantes de peças para o Fusca, mas as restaurações sempre levam tempo se você fizer isso sozinho. Você não precisa exagerar como eu fazia quando era um veículo mais novo. Atenciosamente

    • @myovalsplit
      @myovalsplit  ปีที่แล้ว

      É semelhante conosco. As peças são incrivelmente caras se a qualidade for correta. Você pensa muito nisso, tem que decidir se vale a pena construir a peça você mesmo ou não. Se você só tem dinheiro para uma máquina de solda, tudo bem. Um pouco de paciência todos os dias, você progride devagar, mas com firmeza. Desejo-lhe todo o sucesso🤙🏻🤙🏻
