    Yep! I purée on Sunday’s and freeze it in ice cube trays. Currently in the freezer is chickpea spinach, butternaut squash, and lentil lamb zucchini purees. There’s store bought baby food in there too, mostly fruit since I don’t buy much bc we just don’t love it in our household
    Always on hand is avocado, sweet potato and salmon for him. He’s 9 mos and loves everything! Also drinks lots of water to avoid constipation
    It’s really not a ton of shopping. Purée day is usually also a sort of meal prep day for us. Don’t overthink it, just purée it

      To clarify.. make sure it’s safe and THEN don’t overthink it 🤪 A lil random variety and baby will gobble up what it needs and that’s that

    Thank you for the transcript! There were some audio problems in this video, so I really appreciated your taking the time to transcribe the dialogue. I'll definitely check out the website (which I couldn't hear... but was able to find in the description box!). Great video; thanks again ☺️

      If possible, try not to provide your son with fruit juices so early on (they contain lots of sugar) instead, Whole Foods are great. There are great tips for first foods in this show: th-cam.com/video/rzB2FNULWos/w-d-xo.html

    Mango as first food? Is it safe? Because I know a lot of people suffer from mango allergy.

      Probably because those people's parents *didn't* expose them to mango when they were young!

      It depends. Levels of arsenic in rice products are a concern. Recently, leading organisations have advised parents avoid feeding babies rice (including baby rice cereal) for this reason. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, “Rice contains a high amount of arsenic. A natural element, arsenic is found in water, air and soil. It is linked to skin, lung, liver, kidney and bladder cancer. Arsenic exposure also may cause problems during pregnancy and developmental problems at birth.” - See more at: www.bellybelly.com.au/baby/baby-rice-cereal-why-its-unhealthy/

    Why is cholesterol needed for brain developing

      Fat is necessary in the diets of infants and young children because of their extraordinary energy needs and limited dietary capacity. In addition, essential fatty acids provide the substrates for arachidonic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, and their metabolites. Deficiencies in the amounts of these long-chain fatty acids in the diet during infancy may affect the maturation of the central nervous system, including visual development and intelligence.

      Our own liver makes all the cholesterol that’s needed.

    So what is the best cereal to give babies.since rice isn't the best.My baby is six months and am introducing new foods to him

    • @IngeniousBaby
      @IngeniousBaby  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No cereal! As he said, "gone are the days of feeding baby out of a box" Just feed your baby real food - e.g. mashed bananas, avocados, mashed sweet potatoes to start...
