NO oleophobic coating, Gorilla glass....which one 5, 4 probably even less because they won't say Speaker is just bad no other way to describe it It's full of bloatware (that's where the profit comes from) preinstalled apps, some you may know some are totally new Body cheap as dirt, glass and metal cost more NO IP rating...that costs alot....drop it in a puddle...see what happens NO advertising (they're relying on word of mouth) Apple and Samsung fork out millions so that's included in the price And the camera....well it's no google pixel camera or Huawei PR20 (that phone costs 800 dollars i think)

One reason for why $1000 flagship phones won't die is because of the status that people fell like they have when they own them. It's the same reason for why brands like Rolex and omega are still around even though you can get watches that do the same thing for way, way cheaper.
Rolex and Omega are like jewelleries with a watch, which justifies their crazy pricing. But apple and Samsung aren't jewels and their resale value is shit
People buy rolex or omega as a statement piece. The build quality, the movement, the resale value and the heritage of the brand makes it expensive. A normal rolex could last you a lifetime or more if you take proper care of it.
You shouldn't compare Rolex and Omega to phone brands. They're completely different. One is just to show off, the other is expressing your personality, buying something that lasts and making an investment.
This is why I don’t watch unbox therapy. Granted I gave him the view just opening this video, but I have to state my opinion somehow. It’s so easy to make the same videos over and over, but it gets repetitive and boring. Like we get it, you switch phones every week. But the best part of his channel was when he reviewed the most bizarre products that he could find.
There is no shame in buying and using a quality phone from a not so famous company. If you r not after brand image this phone will surely make you happy with its features and performance.
I've been using a Mi A2 and I'm happy to have saved so much money for a cellphone like this. Worth every penny and makes you think how overpriced flagships are.
Depends on the manufacturer and how they pay staff as well. But profit margins may be very high on these flagships and kept there through monopoligarchy. 1000$ for a phone always was absurd to me.

Xiaomi himself said that their products does not make profit (probably does but pretty low). My phone, Xiaomi Redmi 4A, is actually only around $80-$90 bucks when it's first released and it already have a snapdragon 425 which is super cheap considering how this phone is still working like a champ. I dunno about the pocophone because it's a brand new project they made, but it seems like they still doesn't take any excessive profit over it so if you like a quality phone that have a big difference on price, this is your monster buddy.
xiaomi makes the ultimate 'poor-man-phone' lol. They deliver great value with their products. My aunt who's super new to smartphone bought an entry level xiaomi for 90 and its still working great after 2 years. I'm not a big fan of xiaomi miui (I prefer stock android) - but I've used xiaomi redmi 5 for around 2 months and I gotta say that the performance absolutely delivers esp knowing the price.

My opinion: Xiaomi is trying to beat the big brands so they are making phones and sells it with the real cost+fair profit, not like other brands like Samsung, all their phones are overpriced compared with its specification and quality. After couples of months, the price will drop until it reaches the actual price for what's cost plus a fair profit. Believe me, Samsung is fooling people, they are making phones in some way attractive and powerful but would break easily with a simple drop or get water damage although it's waterproof, so Samsung phones nowadays making phones in a way to not last for long, to push you to buy again and again!! The real quality Samsung mobile phones were made in 2010 when they start making stunning durable mobile phones like the Samsung S8500 Wave which has the most powerful and strongest screen I ever tested(try to break it by dropping and throwing it if you dare), superior camera with special capture button with two level ( half press = focus and flash turn on, full press= take photo), and real strong aluminium body. If they could keep these standards and upgrade the hardware, Samsung could be really different from what it is now.
Samsung is just harsh with its low-end, med end sector, you buy an overpriced AMOLED, a horribly regulated battery and entry level processor for a price that's few clicks away from the F1, my friend paid more, got an Amoled, no SD card and an inferior exynos processor powered with a smaller battery.
I think poco phone will be your best switch at that price. I know you'll enjoy it better than the blackberry you recently switched to. Have fun with Poco F1.
Pratik Galaxy Note 9 is the best phone on the planet right now, Period!!! This is not even up for debate. But the note 9 is a 1000 bucks plus. He's going to enjoy the Poco phone because of its flagship features at a 300 bucks price point. I'm looking at Price and Performance here.

I still use this since i bought it 3 years ago, replaced the battery once and still performs great till this day. Plays genshin impact, cod mobile, pubg new state, everything at relatively high graphics. Not bad at all, best $300 i spent

Just got the Poco, after 3 years of Apple products this device is really refreshing. I wanted an iPhone X's max but couldn't afford one so got the Poco. Best decision I've ever made 😊
All android phones are shit because you will get maybe 2 years of updates. You know for sure that you will get way more years of updates for iPhones. The iPhone 6s for example still gets updates these days. Of course this is one reason for the higher prices but in the end you can do the math. Buy an iPhone for around 1000€/$ and have it for 5 or 6 years or buy a phone for 300-500€/$ and get a new one every 2 years. In the end the price differs not that much.

The only issue I see is if these phones support all the bands you need to have the service from your provider. Also do they support WiFi calling? Those items are very important for many of us. Thanks for the video

Naruto Uzumaki, Poco is being compared with Flagships just because it has SD 845. To cut the cost they have compromised the Built quality of the Poco phone so it can't compete with Flagships in terms of built quality.
I have been using flagships for a long time. I had a LG V10 and then I bought a Galaxy S7 edge and after I got a Mi Note 2 as my secondary device and it's so faster, the system is so more fluid that I simply had completely changed to it and the Galaxy S7 edge became my secondary device with double the price of my main one. I have no complaints about it, except maybe a better camera but I don't even think it's a major issue compared to the overall quality, I still use it and it holds very well for a phone that is not even a flagship and it's (very) outdated. So my standards for this one are pretty high
OMI NOMI, Well I am not complaining. I am just comparing. poco team has intentionally kept its built that way so that it doesn't compete with its own better looking Flagships.

I'm typing this on a new Pocophone, very satisfied with its performance/snappiness. but, after using it for just a few hours I discovered these two things that made me really miss my old device (Zenfone 5) : - lower quality speakers (still stereo though) - not as good notch implemetation (fullscreenability options) Other than that, the Poco is amazing, the camera was a really big suprise, very impressive
The zenfone has more feature, but quality wise, I'd say its on par, which really suprised me. In fact, the Poco provided an option to turn off the AI, which is a very useful feature.
@@YH-mg5zg definitely buy the Poco if you plan to play demanding games. The Zenfone still has the advantage of better fullscreenability though. For example in PUBG you can set to fill the entire screen on the Zenfone, but not in the Poco, i hope gets fixed soon with an update.
I've been using the poco for about a year now, bought it for about 240€ brand new,still in the year 2020,I highly recommend it.The battery easily lasts for a day,the processor inside is capable enough to still handle the heaviest games at the highest graphics quality 2 YEARS AFTER IT'S RELEASE.The screen,even though an LCD is good enough for me the camera is great.I highly recommend it.
despite having few downsides (like for netflix and primevideo it supports only 540p video) so far POCO is the best in the market.. Hope Xiaomi cover those downsides and make it a true flagship.

I am waiting for all the coming flagships announcements (iphone 11, galaxy s10, pixel 3) but the thought of paying over 1300 USD for la crème de la crème is getting ridiculous. Dont go for the poco f1 if u really want to use ur phone for atleast 2 years. Coz the diplay is too subtle and cant withstand a drop of atleast 3 feet iwhich is so common, so u have to get ur panel replaced and if that doesnt matter, u r good to go!
Antonieta De la Torre I personally would go for the Oneplus 6 or if you have the patience for it, the next iteration. This is coming from a person who can not afford 1000 USD phones. I have been a long time user of Xiaomi and Motorola (when they made near stock android budget phones) and recently switched to a used oneplus 3. I have no regrets, there are lots of small things that are there in OP that you realise are missing in Xiaomi, things like better antennae, display, dash charge, etc. Oneplus is not so popular today because they are affordable or hyped, they are popular because they are a customer centric company that actually listen to the customers and implement suggestions. I also prefer the stock android experience over MiUi or Samsung’s skin (although it’s a lot better now)
These Chinese phones last upto maximum limit of 6 months top. I had a OnePlus 5t, its battery was dead in 7 months. My friend have a MI max and now its kinda of dead, he brought it about 4 months ago.
Mayank Rathee hi, i currently own a Galaxy s7 edge and also after 2 years of having it the battery inflated itself (which happens rather frequently) so i took it to an authorized shop and got it replaced (it waa 60 USD). I dont think that just because the battery is dead you have to replace the entire phone (although it would be easier to replace if it is a brand that can be found from a local retailer vs a one plus or Xiaomi that are usually bought online). I bought the s7 edge on its launch date and in march 2019 it will turn 3 yrs which is when i will plan to switch phones.

Bought it two days ago, and I must say that there are some drawbacks in this phone: 1. If we clear the app history, chat apps like WhatsApp and LINE will stop receiving messages UNTIL we manually open them. There's a get around solution though, we just need to 'lock' those apps in app history so they dont get cleared. 2. You can set which SIM for Internet and for dial, but there's no setup for the default SMS SIM card. This is especially annoying if you're using two SIM cards and have a mobile banking app and using it quite often. The get around is to temporarily disable the SIM that you dont use for mobile banking, or just use one SIM card and use the other slot for external storage. 3. There's no actual working DND solution for when we're gaming. I mean, there's actually a DND switch, but sometimes it also mutes the game. We have to always manually enable it before we open a game, and disable it after we're done. Samsung did well on this with their 'Game Tools' feature, so maybe Pocophone can have something similar in the near future. 4. To my surprise, it actually has TONS of bloatwares. Fortunately we can debloat the phone without breaking the warranty. 5. You need an extra step just to see the battery percentage. 6. Personally, I'm absolutely not a fan of the notch and round edge on the screen corners. The performance is awesome, but it does somewhat slow you down on at least the aforementioned numbers.
I have been extensively playing pubg on my poco for the past two days. No lag issues nothing it keeps on going and no heat issues though. The phone just gets warm nonetheless thanks to the liquid cooling.

Even though i can afford a Samsung S9, I use a lower version of a xiaomi phone for a year now, fast and relible still no issues, so a poco is really a killer.

Xiaomi himself said that their products does not make profit (probably does but pretty low). My phone, Xiaomi Redmi 4A, is actually only around $80-$90 bucks when it's first released and it already have a snapdragon 425 which is super cheap considering how this phone is still working like a champ. I dunno about the pocophone because it's a brand new project they made, but it seems like they still doesn't take any excessive profit over it so if you like a quality phone that have a big difference on price, this is your monster buddy.
xiaomi makes the ultimate 'poor-man-phone' lol. They deliver great value with their products. My aunt who's super new to smartphone bought an entry level xiaomi for 90 and its still working great after 2 years. I'm not a big fan of xiaomi miui (I prefer stock android) - but I've used xiaomi redmi 5 for around 2 months and I gotta say that the performance absolutely delivers esp knowing the price.

My opinion: Xiaomi is trying to beat the big brands so they are making phones and sells it with the real cost+fair profit, not like other brands like Samsung, all their phones are overpriced compared with its specification and quality. After couples of months, the price will drop until it reaches the actual price for what's cost plus a fair profit.

they are making phones in some way attractive and powerful but would break easily with a simple drop or get water damage although it's waterproof, so Samsung phones nowadays making phones in a way to not last for long, to push you to buy again and again!! The real quality Samsung mobile phones were made in 2010 when they start making stunning durable mobile phones like the Samsung S8500 Wave which has the most powerful and strongest screen I ever tested(try to break it by dropping and throwing it if you dare), superior camera with special capture button with two level ( half press = focus and flash turn on, full press= take photo), and real strong aluminium body. If they could keep these standards and upgrade the hardware, Samsung could be really different from what it is now.

Just got the Poco, after 3 years of Apple products this device is really refreshing. I wanted an iPhone X's max but couldn't afford one so got the Poco. Best decision I've ever made 😊
All android phones are shit because you will get maybe 2 years of updates. You know for sure that you will get way more years of updates for iPhones. The iPhone 6s for example still gets updates these days. Of course this is one reason for the higher prices but in the end you can do the math. Buy an iPhone for around 1000€/$ and have it for 5 or 6 years or buy a phone for 300-500€/$ and get a new one every 2 years. In the end the price differs not that much.

Naruto Uzumaki, Poco is being compared with Flagships just because it has SD 845. To cut the cost they have compromised the Built quality of the Poco phone so it can't compete with Flagships in terms of built quality.
I have been using flagships for a long time. I had a LG V10 and then I bought a Galaxy S7 edge and after I got a Mi Note 2 as my secondary device and it's so faster, the system is so more fluid that I simply had completely changed to it and the Galaxy S7 edge became my secondary device with double the price of my main one. I have no complaints about it, except maybe a better camera but I don't even think it's a major issue compared to the overall quality, I still use it and it holds very well for a phone that is not even a flagship and it's (very) outdated. So my standards for this one are pretty high

I'm typing this on a new Pocophone, very satisfied with its performance/snappiness. but, after using it for just a few hours I discovered these two things that made me really miss my old device (Zenfone 5) :
- lower quality speakers (still stereo though)
- not as good notch implemetation (fullscreenability options)
Other than that, the Poco is amazing, the camera was a really big suprise, very impressive

The zenfone has more feature, but quality wise, I'd say its on par, which really suprised me. In fact, the Poco provided an option to turn off the AI, which is a very useful feature.

@@YH-mg5zg definitely buy the Poco if you plan to play demanding games. The Zenfone still has the advantage of better fullscreenability though. For example in PUBG you can set to fill the entire screen on the Zenfone, but not in the Poco, i hope gets fixed soon with an update.

I've been using the poco for about a year now, bought it for about 240€ brand new,still in the year 2020,I highly recommend it.The battery easily lasts for a day,the processor inside is capable enough to still handle the heaviest games at the highest graphics quality 2 YEARS AFTER IT'S RELEASE.The screen,even though an LCD is good enough for me the camera is great.I highly recommend it.
despite having few downsides (like for netflix and primevideo it supports only 540p video) so far POCO is the best in the market.. Hope Xiaomi cover those downsides and make it a true flagship.

Dont go for the poco f1 if u really want to use ur phone for atleast 2 years. Coz the diplay is too subtle and cant withstand a drop of atleast 3 feet iwhich is so common, so u have to get ur panel replaced and if that doesnt matter, u r good to go!

Antonieta De la Torre I personally would go for the Oneplus 6 or if you have the patience for it, the next iteration. This is coming from a person who can not afford 1000 USD phones. I have been a long time user of Xiaomi and Motorola (when they made near stock android budget phones) and recently switched to a used oneplus 3. I have no regrets, there are lots of small things that are there in OP that you realise are missing in Xiaomi, things like better antennae, display, dash charge, etc. Oneplus is not so popular today because they are affordable or hyped, they are popular because they are a customer centric company that actually listen to the customers and implement suggestions. I also prefer the stock android experience over MiUi or Samsung’s skin (although it’s a lot better now)
These Chinese phones last upto maximum limit of 6 months top. I had a OnePlus 5t, its battery was dead in 7 months. My friend have a MI max and now its kinda of dead, he brought it about 4 months ago.
Mayank Rathee hi, i currently own a Galaxy s7 edge and also after 2 years of having it the battery inflated itself (which happens rather frequently) so i took it to an authorized shop and got it replaced (it waa 60 USD). I dont think that just because the battery is dead you have to replace the entire phone (although it would be easier to replace if it is a brand that can be found from a local retailer vs a one plus or Xiaomi that are usually bought online). I bought the s7 edge on its launch date and in march 2019 it will turn 3 yrs which is when i will plan to switch phones.

Bought it two days ago, and I must say that there are some drawbacks in this phone:
1. If we clear the app history, chat apps like WhatsApp and LINE will stop receiving messages UNTIL we manually open them. There's a get around solution though, we just need to 'lock' those apps in app history so they dont get cleared.
2. You can set which SIM for Internet and for dial, but there's no setup for the default SMS SIM card. This is especially annoying if you're using two SIM cards and have a mobile banking app and using it quite often. The get around is to temporarily disable the SIM that you dont use for mobile banking, or just use one SIM card and use the other slot for external storage.
3. There's no actual working DND solution for when we're gaming. I mean, there's actually a DND switch, but sometimes it also mutes the game. We have to always manually enable it before we open a game, and disable it after we're done. Samsung did well on this with their 'Game Tools' feature, so maybe Pocophone can have something similar in the near future.
4. To my surprise, it actually has TONS of bloatwares. Fortunately we can debloat the phone without breaking the warranty.
5. You need an extra step just to see the battery percentage.
6. Personally, I'm absolutely not a fan of the notch and round edge on the screen corners.
The performance is awesome, but it does somewhat slow you down on at least the aforementioned numbers.
Rocke Linez Answer for number 1.. Just click on autostart for the apps running background , then u dont need to lock any apps..

I have been extensively playing pubg on my poco for the past two days. No lag issues nothing it keeps on going and no heat issues though. The phone just gets warm nonetheless thanks to the liquid cooling.

Even though i can afford a Samsung S9, I use a lower version of a xiaomi phone for a year now, fast and relible still no issues, so a poco is really a killer.
